Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood

[u]Recommendation[/u]: "Silence of the Lambs" meets the hidden object genre in an engaging continuation of the hunt for a serial killer. [u]Critique[/u]: This is a fun continuation of the story started in "Enigmatis: the Ghosts of Maple Creek." But, being an Artifex Mundi game of a certain era, it also has the requisite elements that appear in nearly all of their games: creepy, creepy deep fake character animation, black corvids, uneven voice acting, and an annoying set of achievements keyed to the alternative game mode (which then requires playing through the whole game TWICE). But it's still fun, and just the fact that the story is a continuation of the previous game elevates it a great deal. Also, the game's developers in Poland deserve a great deal of respect for for populating this game with so much accurate Californian wildlife. This is not the creepy deepfake animation of 3D models with an image of a face wrapped onto that head. Instead, this uses a flat 2D image for each char...

Pretty alright story and everything considering the age. One or two of the puzzles had poorly described instructions which made it frustrating. The main character is also abysmal. She couldn't even recognize her "nemesis" or whatever from the previous game which was baffling. Shes supposed to be a detective? Yeah right.
