The game is solid. The story is a lot of fun. Definite sleeper game, doesn't deserve much hate. Reason for a negative review? NO AUTOMATIC CLOUD SAVES (thanks to Ubisoft Connect). 70 hours, 100% achievement completion. New DLC comes out, I go to re-download the game, and find that my save files are all gone. This is a Ubisoft Connect issue, not a Steam one. Apparently, you have to manually push your save files into the cloud in the game. Unlike every other game you play on Steam, this one doesn't do that thanks to Ubisoft's BRILLIANT system. So now, I'm going to re-uninstall the game and ignore the DLC, and hope that any of you poor souls can avoid the same issue I am. If you upgrade to Windows 11 and didn't manually upload your save files to the cloud... byeeeeeeeee. Really dumb, really unfortunate. Solid game, really wish Ubisoft just STOPPED trying to have their own launcher because it will never hold a candle to Steam's user-friendliness.

Worth it on a huge sale, this game is in no way shape or form a $70 game, but for $20 it's worth it to a casual Star Wars / Ubisoft fan or $30 for a hardcore fan. This game has its issues, despite the budget, and the huge studio behind it, it has its issues. But I'm a Star Wars mega fan and I like to give everything a try and form my own opinions. The GOOD - The worldbuilding is insane, next level and genuinely incomparable to any other modern Star Wars game. Absolutely stunning, even down to the finest detail it's worth it alone for a megafan to just be able to listen in on conversations across multiple planets of all the different species. Graphically/visually this game is so beautiful, the planets, the space combat, the characters big and small. - The story is fun and unique to Star Wars, the concept might not be super unique but its not something I've seen before, there's four syndicates that all require attention and all do not like each other so you have to do jobs which oft...

I wanted to like this game, but it's just not fun at all. The stealth is just awful and the general mechanics of the game aren't fun. I feel like I've barely touched the story but the missions are a chore to get through when the stealth which is emphasized is nearly impossible without constantly being detected. Would avoid at all costs and this is playing with updates.

Pretty underrated. Not the typical Ubisoft formula, there weren't an overwhelming number of icons or towers to find but it instead rewards exploration. Tons to find if you go off the beaten path. It's still a bit unpolished in areas. The lip syncing and some of the other animations such as the climbing don't look as polished as a linear game like Uncharted but I think the scope of the world makes up for it. It makes you FEEL like you're in Star Wars. It definitely scratched that Star Wars itch for me.

Not at all worth $70, i bought it half off for like $35 and still meh, its an okay game, if you've come for riveting game mechanics and exciting game play its pretty mediocre compared to all the other 3rd shooters that are out now, it really doesn't try anything new. If you've come for a rich story you won't find that either, plays it way to safe, nothing bad happens that doesn't get cleaned up and turned into your favor super quick, character development is there but not that much, main character Kay Vess is kinda annoying in my eyes. Compared to games like Jedi: Fallen Order / Survivor this is mediocre. If your gonna buy this, paying full price would be a crime, just wait for half off or more.

The idea behind it is new and refreshing, but the game itself is not very well made. The controller keeps bugging, buttons are either recognized incorrectly or don’t work at all. There are workarounds, but they’re annoying. The game also crashes at random occasions. I couldn’t figure out why, but it happens far too often. Bugs aside, the character animations are seriously lacking. Mouth sync to speech is terrible, facial animations look off, and cutscenes feel unnatural and rushed. For a Star Wars game, there are some new mechanics and aspects that make it fun, but in my first few hours, the negative points stood out much more than anything good.

Honestly this game gets way more hate than it should. It’s not perfect, but it’s still one of the best Star Wars open world experiences we’ve had in recent times. If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a smuggler or bounty hunter, this is it. Was it meant to be bigger and more immersive? Yes. Is it watered down compared to what it could’ve been? Yeah. Are the stealth and controls clunky at times? Definitely. But even with all that, it still pulls you right into the Star Wars underworld. Flying between planets, doing jobs for (and against) the big crime syndicates, carving out your place in the galaxy. Kay’s story is interesting and wholesome at times, a bit cringe at others, but it fits the outlaw vibe and keeps you going. With games like Outlaws and Jedi Survivor, it feels like we’re not far away from someone finally making a full Elder Scrolls-style Star Wars RPG that people will talk about for years. TLDR: Overall, this is a great game. Not perfect, but it captures th...

The game autosaves on loading a game. So it deletes your previous autosave. This must be the dumbest feauture in the history of mankind, and the universe too. The stupidity is beyond comprehension In fact this simple feature earns the game a thumbs down. Just by itself.

I really WANT to like this game, but it feels a lot like banging your head against a wall of frustration. The game doesn't know what it wants to be, and it shows - the game is thoroughly mediocre in the implementation of all the classic Ubisoft open world mechanics, like they took successful mechanics from other franchises, bolted them onto the game, then coated it with Star Wars paint and figured no one will notice because it Star Wars. Edit: Yes, I kept playing, no it doesn't get better. I bought the game, I'm gonna play it, but the game never stops getting in it's own way.

Still really buggy. Sound dropouts and loading a game save can randomly take seconds or minutes.
