Phantom Squad

The game forces its gamepad controls on steamdeck and if you are a steamdeck gamer, you know how awful that usually is. In the game on steamdeck your crosshair is at a fixed distance away from the character without any aiming lines and your targets often are closer or further away. Basically you always have to guess more then actually aim. I can not call this optimized. This would easily just be a nonissue, if i could emulate mouse and keyboard and just aim normally and accurately with my trackpad. Must be a cool game if you have a mouse and keyboard, plainly sucks if you run the game on steamdeck even if you had a mouse and keyboard plugged in, because the game forces shitty inaccurate gamepad controls on you.

This is a game I recommend with some caveats. I played the game solo, with mouse & keyboard. [b]TL;DR:[/b] Not a huge amount of content and it's harder to recommend to those looking for a more casual game or intends to play solo. Otherwise, fun gameplay loop and worth it's asking price, especially on sale. It's a fusion between Ready Or Not and Doorkickes 2. Well at £11.99 full price this game offers [b]11 campaign missions[/b] with a decent enough story to justify the tactical SWAT gameplay loop. #6 CHAINBREAKER may be the worst level in a a video game ever

If you are looking for a casual tactical shooter with a solid solo experience, this is NOT the game for you. This is first and foremost a coop designed game with excessively challenging and unfair difficulty simply because it was not designed to be played solo. There is no margin for error in this game. You have a split second to get a shot off before enemies one-shot and kill you on the spot. Shots from enemies deal way too much damage. The developer provided a defibrillator that can revive you a couple of times per level and just a few health syringes but that's it. There are no health syringes that can be picked during a level. Levels are also long with having to clear multiple floors and the game does not save between floors. There is also no manual save. And when you die, even on the final floor of a level, you must restart the entire level all over again. The developer mentioned in the Steam discussions of possibly adding an easier difficulty to the game at some point to accommod...

Game is really great, with amazing attention to details!

Fun game to play with friends. It's a little short but they will be adding content in the future. Worth a try
