Okay after playing for ~60 hours here's my honest review. I am in the final unlockable area of the game, level 19, solo playing. Making this spoiler-free as possible. ------ PROS ------ - Honestly, beautiful game. It's been a lot of fun. - In fighting back the RDA, there are multiple base types. It doesn't feel like a repeated "go here and do the mission" (even though that's what it is) because 'the mission' is always changing. - A lot of customization for my Na'vi and Ikran, without spending any money on the Ubisoft crap. The clothes and weapons actually look amazing. - The three clans you meet in this game, and the respective areas, are really unique and stand out a lot. They make the game feel more alive and special. I love walking around and coming across random Na'vi who are like "hey you want this super awesome item??" - The story is amazing so far. There's been maybe 2-3 times so far where I've gotten the usual "tragedy war music", which kind of pulls me out of...

I can't believe I am going to say this about something Avatar-related but this game is just not worth the money it's priced at. As a huge fan of the IP, it is incredibly frustrating to play with all the crashes and bugs I am having multiple times a day, either forcing me to restart the game or simply the PC because it freezes all windows and can't do anything. I thought waiting some years might help in fixing all the bugs but it seems Ubisoft keeps its latest trend of not caring a single bit about their games or their players. Save your time and money, do NOT purchase this.

I wish if we had "Mixed" as a review recommendation for this particular one. Lucky for me to get it on discount but it's definitely not a full priced pick here. Starting with the goods, i have to say that they made a great job creating visuals and elements that depicts nicely the world of Avatar as we've seen it on the big screens. The story takes place after the end of the first movie and concentrates on a group of young captured Na'vi that found themselves under the control of "The sky people" until they break free and discover their natural ecosystem. Seemed interesting especially when starting to learn your first steps as a real Na'vi. Visually stunning with a great and vivid fauna and flora. Good audios and the pacing was acceptable. And now comes the bad... 1- Performance is shockingly bad for an old game that i thought would be fixed/updated by now. Around 58 fps outside and 100 fps inside buildings( you're rarely inside in this game) [Note: Specs RTX 5080, 7800X3D, 32G RAM, ...

Well. Played through the entire main campaign, completed all side missions. This didn't need to be an online game, this didn't need a multiplayer mode. I wish this was an RPG, but alas. Gorgeous game! The main reason I wanted to 100% it, purely graphical. The story was... deep as a puddle. Pure HR approved corporative slop. Now, why would I slog through a main campaign riddled with repetitive objectives and cardboard cut outs for its characters only to spend even more money and time on the DLCs? I hate myself -This needed to be an RPG so bad -You need Ubisoft's launcher -You need an internet connection, a lot of hiccups I experienced were due to server lag -You *need* an SSD -The game is not optimized! Almost 110Gb?!

Coming from someone who loves the Avatar movies and the world of Pandora, this game really teeters on the edge of being amazing as all the right parts are present but they don't all weld together. I love the world of Pandora but the game both breezed by and also had me wading and slogging through quests on a death march to the end credits. The bioluminescence of the night is beautifully captured and the attention to detail in its fidelity is unmatched. This can go right up on the list of the most stunning games ever made and it really delivers on Avatars reputation as being the front-runner in technological innovation. Coupled with this is shockingly great gameplay, it reminded me of Dying Light and Far Cry 3 welded together which really tazed some life into the typical lazy Ubisoft open-world design. There are some amazing moments that are ripped right from the movies and being immersed in Pandora is everything an Avatar fan could want. I really enjoyed parts of the plot, the...

Graphical glitches, crashes all the time. Sad for such a good looking game but even more sad, not even worth it on a 75% sale.

Definitely recommend…BUT!!! I absolutely love this game. It’s not elden ring or baldur gate or certainly not Clair obscure. What it is, is Farcry Pandora. And I’m ok with it. The story is ok, the characters are ok, it is all fine but I’m certainly not rushing to do the main story, except maybe to get the ikran (easily the best part of the main story). What I love and have spent 80+ hours ( ubisoft+ will get to that in a moment) is exploring. To get the most out of this game I will say you need to get into character and roleplay. You are a Na’vi discovering this gorgeous world. That is what is top notch, the world and music, along with the sound effects is perfect and as long as you have the hardware and graphics for it, you feel you are on this alien planet. Now to the bad part. I absolutely refused to pay $160 to get the full and best experience of the game. That is absolutely insane, especially two years after release. I played for the previous two years on and off on t...
