Updated review after dev updates: 1. The game now saves your options, which is great 2. I still don't like the control scheme, and I find it clunky, but if you don't mind keyboard only or game pad controls, you'll be fine 3. The new tutorial is very helpful 4. Being able to see the abilities of the enemies is key. This really changes up the strategy of the game. 5. The overall balance is better, but I still end up getting stuck when playing the shield character. With that character you basically become invincible after the first level, but unless you're lucky enough to get several attack powerups, you'll run into enemies that you can't kill and they can't kill you either. The worst part is that when you enter a new screen, the enemies get to go first, and this will often result in getting trapped by the enemy as you can't kill it, or go around it. On another run with the archer character, I walked into a room and there was an enemy right next to me, and since the enemy goes first, I...

About This Game
You Have the Role Of An Adventurer!
In this game you have a limited number of actions. By spending them, you must try to become stronger and not die!
Main game features:
- Random floor generation
- Ability to select (disable/enable) enemies
- Each hero and enemy has its own unique passive abilities
- Different difficulty levels
- Depending on the difficulty level, the intelligence of enemies also changes
- Lots of different items
It is very important to build tactics for each enemy! After all, you know in advance how many action points he has and you can roughly understand where he will move. Force your enemies to play by your rules!
If you miss, the enemy will open the chest and take your loot instead of you!
Not all items are equally useful. However, you won’t know until you pick it up, right?
We have prepared interesting locations for you in which you will have to work hard to emerge victorious!

Micro review I can't understand how, even small games, in 2024 don't have the option to rebind buttons. Even if it's just the arrow keys. Perhaps make a mouse only option. Also big rng and you die in 1 hit on floor 0. I'm gonna wait it out. Seems promising. However, I did enjoy my time playing. Try it for yourself.
It has potential; but be warned at the moment it's not balanced at all. It's a cute little game. The whole game is pretty simple and rather basic. There is not much to it; which I wouldn't expect for this price. You can choose between 3 characters that all have specific stats. And that's also where the unbalanced part starts: Enemies can one shot you in early stages; you can't deal damage because you don't have enough possibilities to get upgrades; you get trapped in rooms because you can't defeat enemies... Despite the feeling this game is unfinished / unpolished I had fun playing it. Giving it a thumbs up for now because I believe that the devs can fix the issues.
I wanted to like Micro Dungeon as a fan of turn-based tactics big and small, but the game is just too simplistic. There isn't much to dig into, even compared to other very small projects like this. Variation is very limited, there's practically no depth and the difficulty is all over the place. Seriously in the first half hour I both dominated five floors in a row and also got instantly taken out when entering a room. I hope this is a stepping stone for the developer, towards something with more meat to it.
