Top tier looking and incredibly well optimised bullet heaven here, and excellent value for money, especially if you like Steam achievements. However, WHAT THE HELL ARE EVENTS? I'm a grown man, I am not going to follow a Twitter page and juggle multiple meaningless codes to try and make a thing happen. It feels like it's impossible to continue with my current character until I do 10 "events" but who in the hell knows what this even means? Still, for £2.49 I will still leave this review as positive, because it is fun. But yeah, come on bruv.

Skill tree menu is truly arse, you have to click a skill then drag your mouse to click "Buy" instead of double clicking on it to buy or even better make a dedicated buy button like "E" as confirm when we choose upgrades whilst in battle. Leveling up felt slow, and I don't understand why skill tree is separated when most of the common stats can be unified as general upgrades and shared for all instead of having to buy every skills all over when unlocking new character. Soulstone did it much better in the skill tree department, in which newly unlocked character has a chance to survive on the max difficulty of first map, than on Twilight which new character can kiss goodbye in even first map of second region, cause need to buy skills THEN need to unlock LORE for next bunch of skills. Additionally good skills which is tied to another character weapon which can't be used by other charcter means you have to give up one slot of wasted super combo. Will give this a thumbsup 'cause it's plenty...

An excellent entry into the Horde Survivor genre of games. It can be crazy a grind for anyone looking to unlock all characters and max skill trees but I'd argue that that's what you're here for with this type of game anyway. I really enjoy the characters and their skills. The vast majority of skills feel impactful and genuinely useful, which goes a long way to providing variety in runs. That said it can be really easy to power through with just one character and just one item combination so I'd suggest limiting your playtime to a run or two in a sitting then taking a break to avoid burning out. An easy recommend for anyone already initiated into this genre. If this is your jumping off point just prepare yourself for the grind.

Great graphics, easy on my eyes, super enjoyable to play. It doesn't have as much content as similar games in this genre, but the graphics and ease of gameplay make it 100% worth the price.

A very solid Survivors-Like. Fun characters with steady progression. I've gotten 36+ hours so far and am still enjoying it. I have a few levels left to unlock, but I did spend a lot of time on earlier levels just messing around instead of progressing, so your mileage may vary. But right now the game is worth WAY more than its price, and it's still being updated.

Twilight Survivors is far more enjoyable than I expected for an obvious Vampire Survivors clone. The graphics are nice, the controls are very simple (of course), and the replayability with different characters, each with a talent tree, is solid. This is not remaking the genre at all, but it is a place to have the mostly mind-turned-off fun that made the genre famous. If you can get this on a good sale and like VS, pick this up.
