About This Game
Build your city into the most powerful of all kingdoms through endless combinations of buildings, units, spells, and positioning. Take advantage of chaotic combos and powerful perks to break the game and become overpowered. Grow your kingdom in strategic ways, prepare for dozens of unique events, and show the world your kingdom can outlast all others.
![]()
From humble village to massive citadel, your capital recruits your units and grows their power. Expand your kingdom strategically over time and build it to survive decades of war and strife.
![]()
From sturdy knights and warlocks, to glass cannon wizards and bombers, to hordes of fiendish imps and sentient mushrooms, there are dozens of units to lead and fight. Stockpile gold to hire thousands of mercenaries to your cause, use dark magic to raise the dead, and harness nature itself to bring down your enemies!
![]()
Each of the kings has a different starting deck of buildings, troops, and spells, but you can loot the rival kings who attack your lands to access cards from their unique decks. Make peace with those whose units don’t fit your playstyle, and declare war against kings with the powers and units you covet, deploying the tools acquired from your enemy to unlock countless combinations of stacking buffs and modifiers to build an invincible army.
![]()
Combine your cards in endless ways – try out insane builds and watch massive armies fight for your crown, survive as long as you can against increasingly powerful enemies, or break the game and watch all challengers crumble before you.

20$ is way too much for this, get it on sale. It's too simple at the moment. Each round is identical to the last and the strategy is always the same. They clearly tried to make each king distinct but in the end it all works out to be the same. \ Also, the 3x speed is the only way to play the game and truthfully it should be the 1x speed. The rounds end up taking so long just because you need to watch each animation play out every single time.
One of those games. I'm worried I'll burn out before release. It has that pixel look but its very deep. Mixing cards from different armies makes it interesting to say the least, currently Machine gun toting Executioners mounted on Raptors is my jam. If you like endless rogue-likes, - deck builders - tower defense - battle sims - but its not mobile quality, get this. - somethings wrong with converters, or maybe they are just reporting now. - i cant see my mage attacks like the enemies mages - post fight stats would be dope - please make a random king button so I dont have to choose Keep up the good work, I love this game.
Fully stacking percentage-based increases. Uncapped numbers. I'm glad the game crashed before my CPU exploded. 10/10
$20 is overpriced. Will change if I see price drops to $15 again. Though I think $10 should be the regular price. When I bought this game, I think I got it on sale for $10. It was fun at first, but every run felt samey, even with different kings. It wasn't for me. I got a refund for it before my 2 hours was up. Some of the updates I've read about since then looked promising, so if the price comes down I'd recommend trying it at least. $20 is too much.
Very well designed game. There are a variety of strategies for each king. I've played a fair amount and am still learning and having a lot of fun. Thanks for supporting macOS <3 It would be lovely if "auto" (fire) was interruptible/overridable. That is, auto-fire is ON unless I am holding down the mouse button to signify "fire at this location". Releasing the mouse button reverts to auto-fire targeting. I currently use the default "Q" keybind to toggle ON/OFF but it turns the game into a 2-handed game instead of a mouse only game. Alternatively, allow me to rebind the key so I can toggle using a mouse button.
One of the most satisfying tower defense-esque strategy roguelites out there. From the moment I picked it up I couldn't put it down for like 7 straight hours. There's a crazy amount of variety in playstyles and a lot of intermingling of cards between different factions which skyrockets the possibilities given to the player. I genuinely don't really have anything negative to say to the game. There's a few cards that are useless on higher difficulties, which is a shame and a design problem, but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment because there's tons of alternative strategies. So far the game has 8 out of 9 possible kings playable, excited to try the last one once it's out, and I urge anyone to grab this when it looks even mildly interesting to you.
This game is absolutely awesome. Reminds me a lot of what I want for a game similar to Despots game. I have a suggestion, which I hope you guys will see. Make a King of Night or some sort of king having to deal with supernatural creatures/mythical creatures. He could have werewolves, banshees, ghosts, etc.
This is not a review on the quality of the game itself. The Steam Store page incorrectly lists this game as having Cloud Saves enabled, but progression is not currently saved across separate devices. I will revise this review once Cloud Saves have been properly implemented.
Not worth the money or time You'll get bored after 6-10 hours The fact that the price is now $20 no thank you I got it for 10 something and still thought the price was not great. Would only recommend to people I want to suffer
