I surrendered a perfectly fine run, because I got bored. There is just not much to do between the first and the last boss in the 20 min of a run. You run around and try to collect XP as much as possible, which feels like a chore to me. In my opinion it needs two more bosses per run and get rid of the collecting mechanism or give better options to play around it. Another problem i have with the game is that the effect of forged weapons feels visually underwhelming and you can only get one. It's just not that exciting if you don't see the damage increase. I like how the boss fights play out, the warpaint system is nice, the level up system is also nice. The whole meta progression is interesting, but if I get bored during runs... well... I'll stop playing it for now and hope it gets better.

In its current state I would not reccomend to buy this ga,me-I 100% completed it. There is barely 2-3 hours of new content when playing and honestly I would wait for a full release. The implemented mechanics are fun but very simple and shallow and the whole game just needs to be more difficult with deeper thigns to do

I farmed a ton of Legendary runes, and now they are all gone :C. The Rune System before update 0.21 was better.

It is a very cool rougelike with a lot of unique mechanics. The pixel-artstyle is on point and the sound design is out of this world. It is still in early-access and has a LOT of potential

Whether you’re new to roguelikes or have hundreds of hours in the genre, Asgard’s Fall is a blast. The knot system is super unique—every run feels different, and I kept finding crazy new combos that made me want “just one more game.” It’s fast, fun, and way more addictive than I expected. Highly recommend.

If you're like me and love a simple "ha ha number go up bigger damage" type game that is easy to dump hour after hour into, then look no further.

Yep, great as is and going in the right direction! QoL notes: 1) explore solution for easier inventory management - organizing runes is still tedious, eg newly acquired runes get mixed up with existing ones in the inventory (possible solution - larger inventory and more inventory tabs; a large inventory area in which you can store, but cannot collect into... this is important because trying out different builds is key to replayability 2) add a menu setting to delete runes without the confirmation prompt 3) add arrow movement on top of WASD
