Disillusion ST

best played while high. I've seen some levels here that remind me of dreams I've had as a child. Some of the more creepy levels induce a sense of anxiety and panic in me (as I was under the influence) and had me repeating to myself "please get me the fuck out of here" and contemplating inputting Alt+F4. Mel gave me an unusual sense of relief and calmness. Haven't beat the game yet, will leave more comments under this if I remember to when I'm done. - mal

If I had the chance to play it again, I think I would opt out of the combat; it was the only part of the game that annoyed me. The rest of it was a beautiful piece of art to experience. It's hard to describe, and I don't think it will resonate with everyone, but it definitely did with me. Loved it!

Beautiful experience with incredible art and animation. A great story with wonderful characters and dialogue.

this game has a lot of potential but is outclassed by the original in every way

a genuinely unique and surreal experience i can't find anywhere else. this is a fine piece of art that triggers an emotion i can barely put it into words. it's a mixture of melancholy, nostalgia, yearning, longing, saudade, etc. etc. basically that type of feeling. it starts off a little confusing and janky, but once you get curious and understand that exploring is part of both the gameplay AND the story, the game really starts going. it does slog off a bit towards the end since you want to be getting the right doors, but it's a fine story worth being told.
