Mordheim: City of the Damned is a gritty, turn-based tactical RPG set in the grim Warhammer Fantasy universe, and it stands out as a brutal, unforgiving, and atmospheric experience that rewards careful planning and punishes carelessness with permanent consequences. Developed by Rogue Factor and released on Steam, the game is based on the classic tabletop skirmish game of the same name, and it brings that legacy to life with a faithful, though sometimes rough-edged, digital adaptation. Players take control of a warband scavenging through the ruins of the cursed city of Mordheim in search of Wyrdstone, battling rival warbands, mutants, cultists, and worse. It’s not a game for the faint of heart, but for those who thrive on high-stakes tactical combat and gritty, narrative-driven progression, it offers a uniquely tense and rewarding experience. The structure of Mordheim revolves around managing your warband between and during missions. Each warband—ranging from the zealous Sisters of...

About This Game
After a twin tailed comet crashed on Mordheim, the City of Damned turned into a terrifying battlefield where rival warbands fight fiercely for the control of key neighborhoods, looking for glory and fortune by acquiring the very valuable Wyrdstone fragments.
Choose from iconic Mordheim warbands - Sisters of Sigmar, the Cult of the Possessed, Skaven, Mercenaries from the Empire - and lead your troops to battle. Recruit new units, equip them with enhanced gear. Evolve and customize your warband with the experience gained from each successful mission, transforming them into a terrifying force on the battlefield.
Devise the best strategy to annihilate your rivals. If you fail, some of your units might lose a limb... or worse. Keep in mind that in Mordheim: City of the Damned, a dead unit is lost forever! Consider the environment when formulating your battle strategy, exploiting the unique buildings, ruins or the layout of the streets. Deploy your troops carefully and anticipate the actions of your adversaries to set up ambushes! Organize ingenious battle plans where the talents of your units will be as important as your own luck during key moments of combat.

An excellent game that almost no one plays. Love the difficulty.
The game is broken. The precentages are bogus. You can camp at 1 spot to ambush (50 rounds) and no one will come nor will you be able to spot any by scouts to draw them in. At the same time on first round they can kill you without you having taken a turn. Maxing out initiative you will still be last even in scouting classes. The game freezes up on loading and in combat. You as well as opponents get stuck from time to time forcing reloads. Opponents are not as limited by travel distances. The min and maxing of stats by lvls do nothing. Markets are useless with high time penalties and few benefits save for enchants and states which again penalize time. Great concept but poorly done in actual game play causing frustration and frequent rage quits. There's no reward but the lack of a penalty and feeling of success after mitigating the damage done.
bad buy. the tutorial already is a true pain.
The actual worst game I have ever played. 90% chance to hit and missed 6 times in a row for the love of god please never buy this game. I love warhammer but this is actual trash praying for a refund.
Pick an army. Fill it with your family and friends. Watch them be quickly mangled and slaughtered. Realize you should've just been rats all along,
I’ve always been a fan of the tabletop game, so naturally I wanted to give this digital version a try. After a few brutal lessons, I finally got into the rhythm and began to really enjoy it. Overall, I think some features could have been handled differently—for example, being able to cycle through warband members during combat or from the top-down view, to better see what they see and adjust maneuvers from a more tactical, strategic perspective. Then again, maybe the current design keeps things interesting in its own way. That said, I’ve found Mordheim: City of the Damned to be almost as enjoyable as the original tabletop game. One clear advantage of the PC version is the speed of play—you can complete battles and campaigns much faster, which makes it a great companion to the slower, more deliberate tabletop sessions.
This game might be an acquired taste, but it is pure tabletop Mordheim made digital. Delightful
it can all come crumbling down on you
