Pirates! Showdown: Enhanced Edition

I had forgotten about this game until it popped up in Pirates Vs Ninjas, pretty exciting to see it on PC finally. I remember grinding through every level on the hardest difficulty back in the day on Android, but my skills don't seem to be quite what they once were (lol). Can't wait for the multiplayer to added, fingers crossed we get a ranked mode.

Alright, so I picked up "Pirates! Showdown" because, hey, who doesn't love a good pirate game, right? And for the price, I figured I'd give it a shot. Got to say, I'm pretty stoked I did! It's got great strategy elements where you've got to think ahead and manage your gold, cities, and ships, which is spot on. It's not just about the brawling; you've got to use your noggin to outsmart the enemy with a mix of immediate and long-term planning that keeps you on your toes. The AI is like playing chess with a sneaky parrot. Just when you think you've got the upper hand, it starts hoarding gold and throws a boatload of enemy ships your way when you're not looking. It keeps things spicy. Graphics are fun too and help sell the pirate vibe with a variety of fun environments. Props to the dude who put this together; it's a solid game for the price of a sandwich. If you're into pirates and looking for a good time without breaking the bank, this is your game.

I've enjoyed the original game for years and highly recommend the enhancement version. I like the simplified take on RTS/defense games and not needing to micromanage units.The dynamic water effects in the enhanced version are fun to see.

Solid strategy that kinda reminds me of TDD games before they all became either Bloons TD clones or or Clash clones, super hype for multiplayer as I remember playing the original version back in the day and thinking the only thing it was missing was a VS mode

Great combination of simple gameplay with strategic depth. I'll buy three more copies for my friends if it gets multiplayer.

Super fun game! I liked how the tutorial walked you through and got you comfortable with the game before playing for real! I like the combat and collecting gold to level up my cities!

Fun game that's easy to play and appears to have a -ton- of levels at five different difficulty settings. I've only just started playing it and already dropped an hour into it without scratching into the other island levels. A fun tip I found is to use the 'arrow' button at the top right of screen to speed up the gameplay, I guess that's the Enhanced Edition for you and I love it; it makes playing different stategies fun and fast :)

Very enjoyable game, I have 1 hour of play in just 1 session, almost complete the first world and there's 3 more to conquer! Good graphics, sounds & gameplay. Highly recommend for anyone who like this type of games.

Fun, feels like an old flash game.
