About This Game

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

From (probably) the most abysmal game launch in history, to now being one of the most unique and feature-packed games in its genre, this game's had one hell of a comeback story. After 10+ years of updates, there is a LOT of content to explore - though I wouldn't say the game is very deep. It's got plenty of stuff to do, and a variety of activities to pass the time with, even if a lot of them are surface level depth. But ya know what? That's totally fine, cause that's what I like about this game. It's casual, it's relaxing to play, and it's super easy to jump into. Basically a nice lil' palette cleanser, for when ya just wanna play something chill for a change. Hello Games has got my respect, that's for sure.

They did it. They actually did it. They added ships outside the frigates that you can walk into. Totally customization starships that you can walk around. StarCitizen & Starfield instantly have no legs to stand on anymore. Nearly ten years after the flop that was the release, and here we are with everything promised and so much more than. AAA makes you have to buy updates like these. Hello Games is that neighbor that keeps giving you free gifts for no reason and you just wanna give back but they won't let you. All that I want now is an updated combat system, and possibly more static infrastructure that can be outlaw/sentinel ran/swarmed. Maybe even if your base is large enough on a planet, you have to defend it from random attacks from outlaws/sentinels?

I really keep trying to get into this game, and the first few hours with it are fun and adventurous. Teleporting millions of lightyears via a black hole is so sick, space combat can be pretty fun. But then, once you get gritty with the game, you start to see the cracks show, and "this is all there is" spills through uncontrollably. I'll list the pros and cons to make my "No" a little less heavy: PROS: -Fun space-flight mechanics that aren't too complicated, or easy, to get into. -You can discover planets and systems, and your name will live in legend as the one who first contacted it. There were some systems that were discovered as far back as six years ago. I thought this was pretty neat. -Base-building is cool and you can build underground/underwater bases as you skip across the system, and teleport to them later. Basically, you can build a one way hyperlane with bases and teleporters. -Collecting knowledge feels really exciting when you do it: Languages, History, etc. - and you can...

I have such a love-hate relationship with this game. It's visually stunning and the sheer freedom you get from space travel is unmatched, but after a while you start to see the cracks. The same reused assets, homogeneous terrain generation, and constantly repeated fetch quests just to name a few. None of the systems in the game feel particularly engaging, you just sorta...drift from one to the other and eventually get bored. I truly wish it could've been better and the consistent updates are definitely welcome, but without reworking the foundation everything on top feels lackluster.

“A Universe Worth Getting Lost In” Review: Very Positive No Man’s Sky is the kind of game where you log in to “just explore for 20 minutes” and suddenly it’s 3 AM, you’ve cataloged five alien species, built a base on a floating island, and accidentally adopted a space squid as your best friend. Since launch, the devs have turned this game into something truly special. Every update feels like opening a surprise gift, and the sheer scale of the universe means there’s always another breathtaking planet just over the horizon. The combination of exploration, base-building, and starship tinkering is endlessly satisfying, and the community is surprisingly kind for a game where you can literally vaporize each other with laser beams. If you’ve ever wanted to wander the stars, discover worlds no one else has ever seen, and occasionally get chased by space police for “accidentally” mining too much, this game is for you. 10/10 — My home is among the stars now.

What a company. What a business model. Free update after free update. The latest one adding corvette class ships you can enter / exit at any time in space or on a planet. Sean and Co are absolute legends in my book. Thanks for many hours of entertainment.

One of gamings greatest comebacks. Hello has poured so much free, game changing content into this game and I would rate the game positive just for that. This game is really chill, if you like to get stoned and listen to music while exploring space and do anything you want to. The only thing is I wish there were some other stuff to do, but it is a sandbox game so you write your own story.

I have truly enjoyed this game. While not without its flaws or bugs; it has a very fulfilling exploration and building system. I find the combat a little lacking, but that's a minor quibble. Have fun in space!

I don't want to come off sounding like a fanboy, but you will not find a more immersive universe-exploration game on this planet than No Man's Sky. Maybe on another planet, but not Earth. Probably not the Moon either. Maybe on Europa, but be careful attempting a landing there. I highly recommend this game for Earthlings who want to go on vacation for a few decades.
