PUMP IT UP RISE

[Review written on 22/8/2025, when it was an "Early Access Game"] MAN! Where do I begin?! This game feels so uncanny and surreal in ways I never thought possible; being from the arcade days since Fiesta 2 (and NX, but wasn't where I "took things seriously" when playing it), nearly everything I memorized was challenged, and dreams have been realized in a positively bizarre manner that words alone cannot describe my initial reactions to what my eyes witnessed! Okok, enough with the over-dramatic reaction, you're probably here asking "is it, or is it not?" when it comes to Pump It Up RISE. The short answer: so far, yes... The long answer: On this very night, I went and bought the game to see for myself the answer to that question above; we Pumpers have been dreaming of the time when we can do what we've been always doing at arcades, at home, at an affordable price and reasonable space. Pump it Up with charts created for keyboard. Hype! It's super good.

One of the Rhythm games that I absolutely love for being different. Instead of a 4k or 7k game, we finally have Pump it up on PC. A little let down on the No Online Multiplayer. But that will be something in the future I hope. Love the game progression and the charting. Now all we need is Andamiro to sell Physical Pump it up pads for this game. Edit: 5 Hours of time and I've 100%'d the game. Super fun, though just a little bit tedious.

Pros: 💸 Great price: way cheaper than most rhythm games. 🎶 Strong songlist: tons of great tracks to enjoy. 🎯 Challenging for all skill levels: from beginners to hardcore players, there’s always something to push you. 🕹️ Solid gameplay: feels smooth and fun. 📏 Precision-based scoring (similar to PIU Phoenix), which rewards skill. 🎥 High quality BGAs. Cons: 🔄 Many stepcharts were modified and feel off compared to what veterans expect. 🚫 No full doubles support (at least for now). 🖥️ UI feels clunky for experienced players who are used to the arcade menus. 🌐 Always-online requirement, which can be annoying if your internet isn’t stable. Verdict: This game already feels great, and considering it’s still in Early Access, the future looks even better. If you’re into rhythm games, this is an easy recommendation!

It's fun but there aren't any anime songs It's also pretty skill check but overall it's fun

This is an amazing game, normally my wife and I go to the nearby arcade to play some PIT:Phoenix, we got this 2 days ago and so far we are loving the experience. I can say so far is different that the arcade but there is the elements that make it a good rhythm game and i'm happy with the purchase.
