About This Game
Kickback is a top-down shooter with roguelike elements set in a biopunk setting. Your hero is the pilot of a damaged organic combat vehicle which can only be controlled by the recoil of its own weapons. Eliminate waves of mutants, create combinations of weapons and perks to successfully move through the enclosed arena and fix the broken engine.
Unique movement mechanics: the recoil from firing the selected weapon is the only way to control movement. Different types of weapons have their own features and characteristics, which greatly affects the movement physics and creates an unusual game experience.

User Reviews
You shoot and move from the shot, simultaneously killing enemies. Simple and quite interesting game
The game is aweosme. I love: * Style * Graphics * Builds * Feedback from shooting * Variativity of classes * Gameplay in general Don't like: * Poor optimization with CRT 1 * Not much content * No narrative * Little meta progression and unlocks
Feels unique, visual looks stunning, but my elder fingers are doomed to stuck on the first level
Very beautiful graphics, I liked the visual style. It was fun to play, I don't regret the time I spent playing the game.
It's a great game, reminiscent of the games I used to play as a kid. The game turned out to be very dynamic and pleasing to the eye. There are many different levels and types of weapons.
its easy to see that this not to your typical bullet-hell...utilizing recoil physics in a (seemingly) low-g environment is clever and executed well...and despite the game's difficulty, there are a myriad of accessibility options to allow anyone to enjoy the fun and as a disabled gamer (nerve damage which causes "precision" in any sense of the word to be nearly unobtainable), i GREATLY appreciated that. this game is worth it, needs more publicity, and it more than worth it at full price - let alone discounted (as it currently is...at 40% no less!) all of that being said, i have one MAJOR issue that hopefully the devs can assist me with: i cannot take screenshots utilizing STEAM's normal F12 hotkey as i can with all of my other 500+ steam games. what gives? i want to show off the highly-stylized neon awesomeness that is the visual manifestation of this very cool game. LET ME DO THIS FOR YOU!
I sat down to play for 5 minutes, I didn't notice how 2 hours flew by. I recommend it!
Glad I stumbled across this game. Just what was missing, something in a unique and unusual pixel style. Where you can scatter enemies with pleasant music.
I've always been curious if a game like this - with this exact gimmick - could stand on its own, and now I have my answer!
