About the Game
In Microtopia you'll manage a colony of robot ants, design a network of transport trails, explore unique environments and expand your settlement.
Your goal? To reproduce! Create young queens that will fly out during the nuptial flight to spread out to distant lands. Starting the cycle anew.
Deploy your queen to start a colony. Navigate a world of electronic waste.
Use trails and buildings to create instructions for your ants. Collect materials, produce goods and feed the queen.
Optimize your layout by using sensors and logic gates to sort your ants based on different properties.
Upgrade your workers into different castes like flying ants, digger ants and inventor ants.
Progress through a tech tree to unlock new features.
Expand your colony and fly out to nearby islands. Explore a vast array of colorful biomes, discover new plant species and find ways to use their resources.
Reproduce: As with all life; your goal is to reproduce! Gather up enough resources to build young queens to let them fly out and start new colonies!

Addicting, great progression tree, good logic, and just a well made game. If they come out with an expansion or open the workshop to modders.. ill be there. This is a game that has captured my interest and my mind like nothing has in quite awhile. Please keep working on this and expand it with different species, game modes, and the like. Great Job!
I liked it. An Automation Game where your Main Limitation is the limited lifespan of your ants / workers and how to supply your production lines with those. Transport of Resources is not a task. Unfortunately no real replayability, but got my moneys worth anyway.
I enjoy this game very much it has a wide variety of things to do constantly. The mouse controls are a little hard to get down but you get it and its fun
not being able to copy and paste makes this game miserable. when that update drops i will update my review but as is i cant see myself sticking with it just due to the tedium of having to reconstruct everything constantly
I tried it. Three times infact. I kinda got it but it dint click with me. It just feels bad for me to have your units have a lifecycle as a manageable resource as if the crafting chain is not bad enough. Just feels like putting rocks in my shoes. Maybe you have better luck with it. It's not for me
Insanely addictive. The one big issue is the lack of explanation, the help pages become useless pretty quickly. The tech tree doesn't explain unlocks well enough, what the hell does a Pod Worker do ? once I worked out the Pod Worker leads to an immortal Pod Worker 1 or 2 I'd wasted hundreds of lives, sorry ants! Despite this, if you like logic/factory sims, there's a good chance you'll enjoy this unique take on the genre. A large amount of my current hours were spent restarting and reworking optimal layouts. Ants, mostly, have a limited lifespan, focus on the shortest paths and make sure you're using your 'old' ants to create new variants, unlocking the elder gate and path early on is highly recommended, those you can't use to create new variants should be recycled, resources can become limited and as you move through the game, especially don't waste your glass, you'll find different bottlenecks at different stages, you'll need to constantly adjust. This is not for anyone looking for...
Awesome game if you like micromanaging!
It can be quite a grind as the game goes on, but the beginning is great fun trying to figure things out and building up your factory.
Computer Ants? Yes please!!
