At the moment...I wish there was a way to say neutral or good, and truth be told all of my issues with the game can be solved if I just go into Endless mode, but that kinda defeats challenge. I'll just give the rundown. I messed around with Crime Simulator: Playgrounds before this came out. To my understanding that was the demo of things to come. Kinda janky but a good time with friends. So crime simulator dropped but I missed out on a few details, there was a separate demo for Crime Simulator, which snuck past me. So much to my surprise, what I bought wasn't what I thought I was buying. So in Crime Simulator, you and your friends have been bailed out of prison by a mob, who are holding you in a compound, and each night you go out to a dedicated little sandbox neighborhood and steal as much as you can to meet a steadily rising quota of money, expected every 3 days. If you fail at this, well you and your friends will be turned into swiss cheese by a group of snipers stationed around t...

About the Game
Crime Simulator IS NOT a stealth-focused simulation like Thief Simulator. Instead, it's a fast-paced, roguelite grind character game, designed around risk, reward, and replayability.
You landed in jail, but a mysterious benefactor bailed you out. Now they want their money back - and fast. Your only chance is to do what you do best: commit crimes. Break into houses, steal valuables, and complete dangerous jobs alone or with up to three friends. Can you pay off your debt before the deadline passes?
Locations & Missions
Explore three distinct areas - each filled with unique targets, security setups, and plenty of loot. Whether you’re sneaking through high-tech mansions or brawling in shady neighborhoods, every location offers new challenges and hidden rewards.
Solo or 4-Player Co-op
Go it alone or team up with friends in 4-player co-op. Coordinate break-ins, split the loot, and watch each other’s backs - or pull a double-cross if you’re feeling bold. The choice is yours.
Tools of the Trade
Every great heist starts with the right gear. Lockpicks let you slip through locked doors like a ghost, while a crossbow silently takes out guards or disables cameras. If you prefer a more hands-off approach, pump sleeping gas through air vents and watch an entire building go down without a sound. But sometimes, subtlety isn’t an option - when things get messy, a trusty baseball bat can solve a lot of problems.
And that’s just the beginning. The full game takes your toolkit to the next level with high-tech gadgets like drones for scouting, zip ties to keep troublemakers out of the way, and scanners to track down the most valuable loot. Adapt, improvise, and own every job your way.
Race Against Time
The clock is always ticking, and your debt isn’t getting any smaller. Every job brings you closer to paying it off, but fail to meet your quota in time, you’ll lose everything. Plan your heists carefully, use your tools wisely, and take advantage of every opportunity. Need an edge? Buy insider tips online to uncover the best targets, scout security weaknesses, or find high-value loot.
The job seems too risky to play alone? Call in a backup - team up with friends in co-op and make sure you get the payout before it’s too late.
Master Your Craft
A true criminal gets better with every job. As you play, you’ll discover over 15 skills that can completely change how you operate. Expand your inventory to carry more tools and loot, sharpen your perception to spot threats from a distance, or master stealth to move undetected. Every skill unlocks a new way to outsmart security, take bigger risks, and pull off even bolder heists. The smarter you play, the more unstoppable you become.
Abilities – Your Secret Weapon
Once you gain access to the voucher machine, you’ll unlock four powerful abilities that can turn the tide in your favor. Call off the cops when things get too hot - but only once per game, so use it wisely. Instantly repair all your loot and tools, ensuring you’re always ready for action. These rare perks can save your heist or help your team pull off the impossible. Choose carefully, because the right ability at the right moment can mean the difference between a perfect job and total failure.
Improve Your Hideout
Your hideout isn’t just a place to lay low - it’s the key to getting stronger. Furnish it with items that grant powerful bonuses:
A bed increases your health,
Training equipment increases your inventory capacity,
and a treadmill? You will be sprinting like a pro.
Every upgrade makes you faster, tougher, and better prepared for the next big job. Customize your space and turn your hideout into the ultimate criminal HQ.

Maybe it's just a me problem, but I feel like it shouldn't be. If you just play with a couple of friends for long enough to unlock the pistol, the game loses any semblance of fun. We can just kill everyone on the map, and then steal every item. I know that we are making that choice, but it's hard not to when the quota gets so high.
NEUTRAL. But more to the negative side of things. The game mentions its a simulator, especially in the games title. Although, it feels a whole lot less simulator. And more like a rogue-like/lite type-ish game. You're on a time limit to get as much cash as possible. And if not. You'll loose, like "Lethal Company" or any other types of clones branched off from it. Heck. phasmophobia is more simulator then this if i'd have to give my two cents for it. But the quality is fine, its fun. Although if you make noise. There's hardly time to run/hide from home owners and tenants. Homes have no hiding spots. At least in tier 1/ level one area of the suburbs. You'll be noticed fast. Its fun but their run speed / checking out noises might be a tad slower in my opinion. There are many more ways to make cash of course, but i've got a tad feeling that this game is more meant for multiplayer then just solo-ing. Playing solo i've already felt the heat at early levels as i was trying to get a feel of ...
Thought this would be a methodical stealth game like Thief Simulator. Instead, I got a high-octane debt collection simulator where my mysterious loan shark benefactor has less patience than my credit card company. 10/10 for accuracy to real-life financial stress. Nothing says "fresh start" quite like getting bailed out of jail only to immediately owe someone a fortune with interest rates that would make payday loans blush. THE GOOD: Finally, a career simulator that matches my actual job prospects! The "mysterious benefactor" mechanic perfectly captures the feeling of borrowing money from someone whose kindness has a very short expiration date Every heist feels like a performance review where failure means literal death instead of just emotional death My criminal character has better problem-solving skills than I do, which is both inspiring and concerning THE BAD: Started calculating the risk/reward ratio of real-life activities. My wife asked why I was timing her grocery store trip...
This product is broken. There's nothing else to it. There's clearly some kind of ambition, but it's fully thwarted by shortsighted game design. I'm sure there's a good game hidden somewhere within here and it amazes me that someone managed to put so much of it together, but then failed at so many basic things. And then still called it 1.0. It's insane. I'd say don't bother with this, even if it looked so much fun when you watched Markiplier play it. The problems include, but are absolutely not limited to: - NPCs are psychic, and know where to find you anywhere when alerted. - Noise detection is nonsensical, every noise no matter how close or far, within their detection range gets them triggered. - People take a bit to notice you, except when alerted, then they can see you from halfway across the map. - Everyone is more powerful than you. You. A guy just coming out of prison. - You can use a bat like 6 times. - Tasers shot by NPCs can shoot every second. - On higher...
“Crime Simulator – Where Every Trash Can is a Witness” At first glance, Crime Simulator feels like a fever dream designed by a parole officer who hates fun. You spawn in, clueless, sneaking around like a raccoon that just got its first pair of sneakers, and instantly discover the following universal truths: 1. Every NPC has the ears of a bat. 2. The cops have a sixth sense for your bad decisions. 3. The “Silence” ability is apparently just short for “Silence… lol, just kidding.” It’s daunting, frustrating, and makes you wonder if crime doesn’t pay—until you stick with it. That’s when the rogue-lite DNA really kicks in. Slowly, painfully, hilariously—you get better. You unlock new skills, your heists stop looking like blooper reels, and suddenly you’re sneaking through high-difficulty levels like a shadowy mastermind instead of a guy tripping over glass bottles in broad daylight. The cops remain ruthless (and possibly psychic), but that’s half the fun...
If you and your buddies need a goofy, simple, fun time for a Friday night, this should be on that list of things to play. Small enough to dive into for just an hour or so, but can be real easy to throw away an entire night and lose track of time doing tasks, side jobs, and item requests. Well worth the $15. It's an engaging challenge when solo, and can be chaotic and hilarious with friends. Despite the pretty repetitive nature of it, the replay-ability of just these first three maps is pretty high. A solid 25+ hours of game play and even more if you intentionally get the cops to swarm your pals while you hide in Kate's bathroom. Dev did a great job with thinking through the different upgrades and skills, it is deeper than it looks on the surface looks. Once you unlock the gun, the challenge is non-existent. Our group ran Train Heist on Master with two pistols and just killed everyone. Spent the next 10min playing Loot Goblin Simulator and then decided it was time to move on. Still w...
This game fulfills its niche very well. It stays challenging by forcing consecutive quotas upon players, which you only get about 25% of back in payment to buy things. Failing to meet a quota results in a game over, but most of your skills and some permanent items carry over, making this somewhat of a roguelike. Tools are also breakable, so instead of reaching a point where you own everything you need, you have to make somewhat interesting choices about what you need to buy to be efficient, which can change depending on your plans. The main bad thing I can say about this game is that it overstays its welcome a little bit. It only has 3 maps, and less than a dozen houses to hit in each one. Yet progression is quite slow. So you will be doing the same tasks in the same places repeatedly to progress, and eventually you find the best strategies for each place, because there are so few. If there were more places to go I think the pace of progression and amount of tools at your disposal wou...
Best fun I've had in a long time. They took Thief Simulator series and made it work well in Online Coop. We laughed, yelled and had some good moments. Some bugs here and there but nothing game breaking. It's super easy to evade the police and the residents. You'll get caught a few times before getting the hang of it. Stealing and stealth will become natural after awhile. Progression are books laying around houses. If you find a leaflet (skill book) and if you have a skill point, you'll be able to gain that skill. It's a weird skill system, and it does force you to get better at the game to find them. I only recommend playing Endless mode. The other mode requires you to get a certain amount of money per day or you'll lose. I wasn't a fan of that due to the pressure of it. Endless mode allows you to play the game without those 3 day payment requirements so you can "Endlessly" play. You still have a timer when stealing in maps though -- that's not endless. I 100% recommend for single p...
