I love Hot Shots golf. The gameplay here is incredible. It’s a return to form for the series. But please FIX THE PERFORMANCE.

Tried on steam deck. Menus run fine 60+ fps. When you are playing a course the frame rate locks to 30 fps with no ability to adjust. It’s impossible to hit accurately

As someone who has played dozens of hours of Everybody's Golf from the PS4 and even Hot Shots golf back on the PSP, this game does not have the same charm as either of those. Graphics are okay at best. Music, ambient sounds, and character dialogue repeat way too often. Camera controls are annoying even though they were perfect in older titles. I personally miss the elevation of the greens showing above the power meter rather than the current system. I would have tested the game longer, but its not worth losing $40. This game imo is worth maybe $15-20 at MOST.

Hot Shots Golf is pure nostalgia for me, got a blessing time playing Hot Shot Golf Out Of Bounds on PlayStation (PS3) that made arcade golf what it is just like Pangya. Thank you so much for finally bringing Hot Shots Golf officially to PC

Coming from PS4 Everybody's Golf, I was worried this title would not be enough of an upgrade based on early game play footage. But, with minimal playtime, I'm going to agree with the other reviews - this is a solid entry, and brings together a lot of mechanics + some new, into a nice package. No FPS locks, looks great in 4k No unnecessary overworld to slow down time between matches, no menu/UI BS More overall content than the other titles, without an invasive price tag Character textures are improved and look great Only cons are that the course textures are still basic, and nothing more than what you get on the PS4. There is some clipping going on, which can be smoothed out in a patch. I wish they had added more detail to the grass. If this is the area in which they used AI, well, they probably should've just gone with an intern. Also, the textures in the menus are rendering at 720p and look horrible, hopefully will be patched in next version too. Edit: am seeing a lot of negat...

If you're reading this and it's because you're familiar with Hot Shots Golf, and you're wondering if it's like you're hoping... Yes, yes it is. I've obviously only played briefly, but the physics and game/play-style are how they used to be. I can't attest to the characters, clubs, courses, balls, or caddies, but it's not a drastically different game from the classic games we're familiar with. I'll update if anything changes for the worse, but I suspect the unknowns will match the already experienced parts, and they'll be like they used to be, i.e. outstanding!

Not worth the price, it feels like a $15 early access game at best. Options for input mapping suck, some clubs read in metric while other things use imperial (with no option to choose one) Feels like an incomplete game that was made by AI. If you play through one online match, you'll exceed the 2 hour refund limit. You also have only two characters unlocked, no customization. The shot preview map is also tiny and only available on the side, like a mini-map thing. Dude you want $40 for this? Save your money, maaaybe check back if they make a bunch of updates. I'm asking for a refund. I wanted new PangYa, this ain't it.

Where are the open courses? Where is the character creation? You should take "Everybody's Golf" out of the name because this is just Hot Shots again.

Fun so far but a couple of notes for audiophiles like me. - Characters have very few lines so they repeat the same lines over and over. Can get very repetitive depending on the character. - I like to turn music off when golfing but music plays when golfing and the OST is bland/generic. There aren't any options to customize when music plays (i.e., you can mute, but it also mutes the music throughout the whole game) - The ambiance of the course sounds like it's on a 3-second loop and got repetitive really quick. So, I just turn on some ASMR nature sounds on youtube while playing this.
