UPDATE: The game is still and seems to be always broken. The good reviews are from proplr that I imagine haven't finished the game because at 4 plus hrs I have yet to be able to get past the 3rd floor as the game will not spawn a gun that is REQUIRED to complete the game. Here's the problem, the levels are randomly generated, each time you reach the next floor a gun is supplied and then a key is activated to open the door to the level. Now upon EVERY attempt I have made a weapon doesn't spawn on a level. it's not always the same level but by the 3rd last floor it has happened to me and I have never been able to complete the game due to this MASSIVE game breaking flaw. The Dev has told me several times it's fixed and so I attempt it again. so I play again for 30 some minutes to only find it isn't fixed. you can't just restart a level. if you die or the weapon fails to spawn you have to restart the game from the beginning. EVERY TIME I have played the game, this is the case. it's a game ...

About This Game
Asylum Nightmares is a survival horror game set in a terrifying asylum filled with zombies. The game features two main modes, each offering a unique but equally challenging experience.
Story Mode:
Objective: Descend through the different floors of the asylum using a service elevator.
Restore the power: Each floor is completely dark, and your first task is to find a way to turn the lights on.
Face the zombies: Every floor is infested with undead who will try to stop you. You must eliminate them all to progress.
Weapons and ammo: You will find new weapons and ammunition on each floor to help you survive.
Limited resources: Manage your resources wisely, as ammunition might be scarce.
Horde Mode:
Zombie waves: Face endless waves of zombies in a fight for survival.
Points system: Every zombie you kill will give you points, which you can use to unlock new areas of the asylum.
Weapon unlocks: You can also use points to unlock more powerful weapons to withstand the waves.
Zombie rewards: Some zombies will drop items upon death, such as:
Health to recover.
Extra ammunition.
"X2" to double the points earned for a limited time.
Increasing difficulty: Each wave will be harder than the last, testing your skill and endurance.
Asylum Nightmares delivers a terrifying experience with an oppressive and tension-filled atmosphere, combined with fast-paced and frantic action. Will you survive the nightmare or become lost in the asylum's dark corridors?

pros: -interesting idea -good atmosphere -shooting is fun -twitch integration -Loved the gameplay loop cons: -NEED to fix the fact the steam page dose not match the contents of the game that well -NEED to fix zombies despawning as you enter and exit rooms -NEED to fix procedurally generated items not spawning in -the survival aspect is to easy due to way to many resources -looking for the power box is threat free making the horror aspect lacking -I couldn't get twitch integration to work might need fixing video review: https://youtu.be/nkkHwdbChQU
6/10 The game has a pretty good finish, I was quite curious to play it since I saw it on X these days. Although the pace is a bit slow at the beginning, the scares in the corridors and the tension of knowing you might die make it a decent game to play. It's true that when you finish you want to keep exploring the lore and see how it continues so I hope the developer keeps polishing this idea and keeps making updates to add some more content.
I liked the difficulty of the game. Having to use the light system and the torch is interesting. The setting is epic and it's cool to play it at night. I've had several scares and situations where I didn't know if I was going to survive because I overestimated the zombies. I think they can still release more content over time so good job and keep up the good work.
This is a slapper! Really nice to just have a short survival horror where you shoot zombies with powerful, satisfying to use weapons in linear levels. It sounds generic, but it's really uncommon. Most zombie shooters just want to be the next COD zombies. It gets intense when you get closer to the end, I really liked that. Just a few flaws all of them minor (keep in mind that I only played Story Mode): 1) Shotgun ammo is too rare. Shotgun ammo spawns in one shell at a time, so you never have much. 2) The Hunting Rifle badly needs to be buffed. It has terrible accuracy and body damage. 3) Zombies need to have more audio cues. Especially crawlers, who can hit you without you even hearing them beforehand. Crawlers in general need to be fixed, they can spawn right on top of the player. 4) Syringes, in my opinion, should spawn inside of drawers or drop from crates to synchronize features and remove potential for errors, because they glitched out and were invisible for me. 5) When you ...
