Absolute cinema, just like the first Duck Detective game. You don't need to have played it to play this one (although I HIGHLY recommend it), but if you have played the first Duck Detective game, the same charm is here with a bit more production value. The duDUCKtions seem a little more logical this time around, although I'm not sure if that's because I already came into this knowing how the logic works from the first game or not. Nevertheless - a fantastic short story adventure you shouldn't skip!

Part II in the Duck Detective series is certainly more polished than the first instalment and seems to avoid most of the issue the predecessor had while maintaining the pros. Pros: 1. Nice story, although a bit more abstract, which is still fine for a casual game 2. Keeps the investigation and deduction mechanics, however avoids most of the ambiguity. Observations seem much more on point 3. Nice voice acting 4. Probably even more humorous. Introduction of a partner(or rather enforced sidekick) gives more chances for extra lore and jokes 5. Extra side secrets you uncover during your investigation<spoiler>Side effect of moving away from a company setting with a known crew to a campsite full of varying individuals</spoiler> 6. Generally keeps the climate of the predecessor Cons: 1. Short. Maybe it's because I played it just after The Secret Salami and knew the mechanics, but I finished the second part in under 2h(remaining time on counter was idling for drops) 2. [Minor] There is still ...
A cute, if somewhat short and easy deducktion game. I was very surprised to see "find all the names" achievement pop up 30 minutes into the game. I expected it to be longer, maybe include a second big location and a second set of people, but nope, your options pool ends up so limited that most deductions in the game can be figured out by elimination. That's not very detectivey. But hey, it's cute, nice and fully voiced, which isn't a small deal for small games. Maybe they'll make a bigger and harder one one day.
[Meh]. Same exact as the first one, no improvement on mechanics or any new features, felt disappointing, as if a single game was split into separate smaller games. I do not see why it warrants being a separate game, rather than a DLC or update to the first one. The episodic formula does not work for this game.
That's an easy recommendation. If you liked the first game, you’ll likely enjoy the sequel. Same mechanics, same visuals, same whimsical style—only the story’s new: another quacky case for the duck detective.
TLDR: An easy recommendation if you enjoyed the first Duck Detective. Small improvements, but mostly sticks to the same mechanics but with a new setting and mystery to solve.

PROS:
➕Humor ➕Music and sounds ➕Detective mechanics ➕Artstyle ➕Voice acting
NEUTRALS:
🔹Same brute force “Issue” as DD1
CONS:
➖Nightime colors blend together and makes world look samey ➖Short and low replay value My review for Duck Detective: The Secret Salami (DD1)
Content (Game world/Narrative) – [7/10]
The game world is much larger than the first, and integrated better - you will be hopping between multiple areas fairly consistently as you gather clues. While the game world is larger, I did feel it less…..”Inviting” than DD1. This is because the game takes place primarily at night and for some reason, this game just doesn’t ha...
personally, wouldn't recommend, bought the bundle as was recommended the series, completed salami bandit without much joy and gave ghost of glamping a go hoping it would improve on its predecessor, but I finished it insanely fast and just wanted to be able to type in the words at a certain point, hardly a puzzle and a bit annoyed i spent money on it. I may be missing the point and this game is for kids getting into point and clicks but wouldn't pay that for a <80 minute game again. too linear
Really well done game, however the price is a bit too much for about 1 hour of gameplay.
freddy frederson fanclub.
Once again, a masterpiece of great dialogues and funny jokes. I love the ghost of glamping case as much as I love the secret salami case. Definitely recommended!
