About This Game
This story is a metaphor for climbing the corporate ladder.
Get To Work is a punishing, yet satisfying experience about a young man on a mission to conquer the corporate world... on rollerblades. Maneuver a slippery character with rollerblades on both his arms and feet that only knows how to move fast.
With your narrator, Connor 'CDawgVA' Colquhoun, to encourage you on your climb to the top, navigate through massive gaps, ramps, jumps, and other devious obstacles trying to bring you down.
And you may be thinking that the rollerblades are a little goofy, but at least we have....
Comedy at its... saddest? A fully narrated, satirical story about trying to survive in today's economy.
Shmooovement: A challenging, but deeply satisfying movement system that rewards you for going fast.
Podcast Pickups: Grab collectible audio clips from "The Grindset", a self help podcast voiced by all of your favorite streamers - Atrioc, Ludwig, DougDoug, PointCrow and more!
Speedrun Support: A built in speedrun timer so you don't have to manually track your splits.
A "Give Up" Button: Unlike your real 9-5 job, you get a "give up" button that you can press at anytime!
Just remember that everyone struggles to climb the corporate ladder, so try not to get too discouraged.
Good luck!

Get to Work, A poem This game is pretty cool it's about getting a job A real job A streamer is not a real job (Looking at you Atrioc)
Another day, another dollar. Had to sell my hair for these sick ass roller blades.
isnt the challenge supposed to be in the level design not in the atrociously annoying controls that you're unable to tweak. i should not be having performance issues with an rtx 3080 on a game that looks like this, either
it's just a "rage game" in the same vein as Getting Over It. It's funny, but too annoying to put hours of time into. Feels designed exclusively for the 1 or 2 people who made it :/
Constant swings between incredibly fun and not infuriating, just depressing. There are a few difficulty spikes I've run into and it's incredibly easy to lose hours of progress, though both of those are kind of the point of a rage game. The level design is great, and the bugs are part of what makes it fun. They either don't change much or can even help in some cases. By the way, if you are holding click, you don't ragdoll on impact. There are also a few easy skips you can do in Middle Management.
I love the movement in this game, it's buttery smooth. you always feel like it's your fault when you fall... most of the time. For those who don't want spoilers don't read the rest of this. The bumper section makes me so furious because the "pro gamer's only" route makes me fall every time to the bull crap spacing. You have to be insanely precise on how fast you're going (yeah duh it's supposed to be hard.) but it is really inconsistent and don't get me started on the upper portion of the middle management interview. Having to have momentum from moving but you can't slow down for 8 platforms then all of a sudden you have to much speed and if you have too much speed you hit the ramp part and stop completely, and you can't salvage it. It's like the dev went "I did it once with dev tools and now people can suffer 20 times in a row." I've fallen 12 times from this one portion and "git gud" isn't applicable here because there's a fine line between difficulty, bad level design, and laziness ...
A cool, cheap and simple but effective piece of work, really liked it, a bit bummed about it doesn´t having music but the grindset is a very nice addition, also the dunce song and the end of doinklers portfolio was soo well made.
Great Game! I have finally gotten to work!
pain.
