About This Game

"Summon. Command. Triumph."

A fusion of deck-building roguelike and auto-battle simulator.

Legendary commanders from history return to the battlefield—this time in a fantasy world teeming with magic, curses, dwarves, and dragons.

"Strategic Play with Deck Building"

Choose your battle rewards wisely, and craft your own deck by combining a wide array of cards and relics.

From cavalry units that break through enemy lines, to unyielding dwarves of steel, feral beasts, and ghostly legions—various synergies await your command.

Build the perfect synergy, cover your deck’s weaknesses, and strike at the enemy’s vulnerabilities as they grow stronger with every stage. Your journey leads to a final, decisive confrontation!<br>

"A Variety of In-Game Events"<br>

Combat isn't the only thing waiting for you on this journey.

You might encounter quirky events, like a druidic group trying to protect a horde of rats, or a goblin salesman enthusiastically pitching long-term savings plans. You’ll also have the chance to take part in eerie experiments to customize your own cards—or simply enjoy the thrill of discovering powerful relics.

Every choice is yours to make. Will your decisions lead you to victory?<br>

This is the most unbalanced "roguelike" game I've ever experienced. There is no cohesion between units, there are no synergies, everything is pulled from a gigantic random pot of cards that have little to no linkage between each other rather than in name only. The few that do, you'll never obtain because the game would rather pool in cards like the plimbus monkey or the skarsian centipede (neither of these cards exist in any sort of "set" they're just random 3 mana cards with 1/1 stats). There is no balanced risk/reward mechanics, just risk without payoff. Better to avoid the "unknown" events because they're all known, and they all suck save for one or two. I think the most laughable event is one that leaves you punished no matter what illusion of choice you make. Every single boss has a bullshit mechanic it'll pull out of its ass, and the entire game is spent watching enemies outscale you as you scramble to augment a single card to live more than 3 seconds after placement. tldr; no...

Going to address the claims about the game being unbalanced and unfair. The game can feel that way until you do about 2-3 runs and then all of a sudden you're the boss battle. I haven't played any other deckbuilder that simultaneously scratches my 4x game itch + my slay the spire and hearthfire itch at the same time. I find this game to be outstanding and addictive due to the infinite variety of card combinations you can pull off. They don't shy away from the rule of cool and let you build the craziest game breaking decks i've ever seen for example: I had a dragon that grew as it defeated enemies and I had a card called the faceless one that clones the last unit card you've played. I also had a relic that spawned one additional unit with each summon. Needless to say I could have 4 full dragons simply show up on the field without elaborating, lastly I had a card that let me EXPLODE units that were on fire, and my dragons were fire breathing...... This game slaps harder than dads...

So, I know I've got 100+ hours in this.. it scratched an itch for a while.. but I have to give this an overall negative review. 1st - TOO random: Deck builders should have an aspect of random - to shake it up. But this game is 80-90% random and you can lose over an hours worth of progress to one bad draw. - Games like this should have more control for deck building. 2nd - Wasted potential: You can see some really sweet combos that would still have challenge and different strategies.. BUT YOU CANT GET TO THEM! After 100+ hours I should of gotten one good game with a satisfying build.. but it continuously falls short. I really tried to like this game.. I can see some really good thought and planning put into this. Good art. Cool combos. they just missed it at the finish line. I will totally edit this if the right changes are made - I hope for the best.

Ridiculous final boss ruins an otherwise engaging game. It simply stalls you with a long path and units that take next to no damage while hitting your hero for face damage repeatedly and stealing your strongest units. Absurdly stupid design choice that goes against the rest of the game's deck-building philosophy to create artificial difficulty.

What is an excellent concept is deeply marred by a lack of strategic depth and the limited number of random events.

£10 for 45 hours of play, and that was before the updates the developers are adding. What you get is a tight and straightforward roguelite experience in my opinion. It is easy enough for a beginner to enjoy, yet deep enough for a veteran to get several runs in before things inevitably start to break. With a bit of luck and some forethought, that can happen sooner than you might expect

It would be nice if there were more than 3 levels to go through and also I wish I had something more to do with the embers you earn (hopefully those are things to come). But the game still has enough variance to keep it re-playable. The complaints on difficulty are definitely exaggerated. RNG is a part of roguelikes, the whole point is to die to unlock more things to get stronger to get farther. So yes there are some runs where you lose to it, but most of the time your fate is largely in your hands (44 clears and counting) . The new recent cards have been awesome, the duplicating cavalry unit is crazy!
