About This Game

Path of Exile 2 is a next generation Action RPG from Grinding Gear Games, featuring co-op for up to six players. Path of Exile 2 takes place in the land of Wraeclast, a dark continent populated by unique cultures, ancient secrets, and monstrous dangers. A sinister threat, long thought destroyed, has begun creeping back on the edge of civilisation, driving people mad and sickening the land with Corruption.

Path of Exile 2 features a brand new campaign with six acts, 100 distinct environments, 600 monsters and 100 bosses.

Key Features

  • Twelve Character Classes
Path of Exile 2 features twelve character classes, two for every combination of Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence. While each of the class variants focuses on a different playstyle, they're just a starting point. You can combine skills from many classes together to create your ideal character build.

Each of the twelve character classes has its own three Ascendancy specialisations, resulting in a total of 36 Ascendancy Classes to pick between.

  • New Skill Gem System
Path of Exile 2 features 240 Skill Gems that grant devastating active skills and 200 Support Gems that modify their behaviour. Combine these together to create your perfect build.

This is the next generation of Path of Exile's famous skill system. Support Gems are now socketed directly into Skill Gems, removing many of the frustrations present in the old system while maintaining all the previous depth. It's now possible to six-link every skill your character uses.

  • Dual-specialise your Passive Skill Tree
Path of Exile's iconic Passive Skill Tree has made a return, with 1,500 skills that allow you to completely customise your gameplay experience. It now features Dual Specialisation, the ability to allocate some passive skill points to two different sets of skills. They engage whenever the appropriate weapon or skill type is used. For example, you can have some points allocated to both daggers and traps, or ice and lightning, and as you swap between attacks, the appropriate skill points will apply. This lets you specialise in multiple areas without opportunity cost.

  • Uncover All-new Items
Path of Exile 2 features 700 equipment base types and every single one has its own unique item you can find. You can augment your arsenal with new weapons such as Spears, Crossbows and Flails, as well as supplementary items like Focuses, Traps and redesigned Sceptres.

  • Encounter Unique Bosses
In Path of Exile 2, every area of the Campaign contains a boss encounter. There's over a hundred bosses to fight as you make your way through the Acts and they all have unique mechanics to learn.

  • Explore a New Endgame

Completing the campaign is just the beginning. The endgame in Path of Exile 2 includes countless areas in different biomes, powerful crafting, challenging bosses, unique encounters and much more. Unlock new paths and explore further into the world.

As you progress through the endgame, you will gain access to special passive trees that can boost the rewards of your maps and change the way the various endgame mechanics work. These trees will make your maps more rewarding but also more difficult.

Path of Exile 2 introduces sequels to several leagues from Path of Exile. While their mechanics are familiar, the monsters, bosses, rewards and progression are all new.

  • Fair-To-Play. Never Pay-To-Win.
Path of Exile 2 is a separate game to the original Path of Exile. We will continue to offer expansions for both games going forward. They will never be "pay to win". Purchases are shared between the two games.

Fresh League leveling with anything off-meta is like repeatably slamming your head against a wall. The skills are designed in a way that feels extremely restrictive, and most of them just aren't viable during the Campaign. For me, the most enjoyable part of ARPGs is the slow and steady progress you make throughout the entire game. Sure, there are power spikes here and there, but most of these games make you feel like you're constantly going in the right direction. Struggling up a sheer wall, in the hopes of finding a semi-functional build on the other side, isn't fun. This isn't just a balance/numbers issue. The entire skill system funnels you down specific paths, with restrictions like gem acquisition further exacerbating the issue. Currently (0.3 and before), PoE2 has by far the worst leveling experience I've ever experienced in any game of the genre. It punishes experimentation, wastes your time with overly large zones, and just isn't fun to play for the first few hours of an un...

I don't know game balance doesn't feel right ... Most of the skills are junk. Also many skills that take 3 seconds to activate? This is very active game who would be standing on same spot waiting for 3s for skill to get activated?? This doesn't make any sense. Some classes also feel very under powered for instance warrior compared to which. Maybe game gets better at higher level i'm not sure, but on lower levels it's just huge drag that kills whole motivation to keep playing

Im clicking around on random streamers and it doesnt look like a single person is having fun playing POE 2 is it as miserable it looks , everyone has no gear does no damage and is constantly running away from the monsters just to die constantly. I played it, it feels like it Edit: If Jonathan invented condoms, he would probably put a drawback on condoms. 5% Chance for it to have holes and then laughs in your face.

Can not recommend, GGG lies alot to get you to spend money. In .3 they said premium stashes could be upgraded to merchant stashes if brought before .3 but they added a restriction on release. They baited players to spend their money during a stash sale that ended days before release. Before early access started, they said guild stashes would transfer over to poe 2 from poe but removed it due to 'limitation' but offered no refunds or compensations to players that brought stashes.

I want to like the game every patch I will try again but I just don't have the patience or skill anymore to carry on , if you like dark souls rolling around evading attacks then you will love it, if you want something to pick up quick to blast around then you will prob find it frustrating like I have. I am fully aware its a skill issue, but i'm too old and don't have the time anymore to waste hours on a boss.

this game is just a shadow of original poe, worse in every aspect other than graphics

This is what a top down power fantasy type game should be. It's got the right amount of difficulty and level progression. Though the equipment drops early on are pretty lackluster. It's definitely built for a party and not so much as soloing. Some bosses have a one hit unavoidable insta-kill attacks making solo play almost impossible to beat. It's a fun game, a bit frustrating sometimes. But fun

Wow so Patch 0.1 was rough, skipped 0.2, news about 0.3 roped me in with hopes of "were so back". Yeah no, why does the balance team have a hard on for making the player feel so weak in an ARPG? At times this feels like their trying to mimic some weird souls-like merge with the addition of dodge rolling being so mandatory in fights to stay alive, whatever it is or their "vision", its not working. I am incredibly disappointed I wasted my weekend on this hoping for some fun, shame on you developers. I'm asking steam support to perma remove this game from my account as I just don't even want this in my account, been burnt twice now. Do better GGG.

I do understand this is still early access, however after 9 months nothing has been done to fix all the issues that cause you to stutter, choke, drop fps, lag, crash to desktop etc. I mean really is it more important to balance the classes skills items than fixing the game so it actually works with normal/decent fps without just mentioned issues.

Not Recommended after 123 Hours Played Came from Diablo 4 hoping this would be the better ARPG. After 123 hours in Path of Exile 2, I’ve reached a conclusion: Don’t fall for the hype. 🧨 Performance? What performance? Constant stutters, random crashes, and general instability. I’m on a 7800X3D with 32Gbs of Ram, and a 4070 Ti Super. This isn’t a “your specs are too low” issue. GPU is always pegged at 100% like it’s mining coins for GGG. 💀 Gameplay? More like painplay. Bosses are overtuned to absurd levels, making the rest of the game feel like a setup for a beating. The grind? Endless, repetitive, hollow. It’s ARPG content without the dopamine hit. 🛒 Trading? Broken by design. Players price-fix, list items they never intend to sell, and clog the market with ghost listings. Good luck finding fair trades unless you’re a bot, you’re not winning. 👎 Community Toxic as hell. New player? Prepare to be flamed, ignored, or price-g...
