Key Features

  • 22 Playable Character classes
Hero Siege offers a wide variety of classes that have their unique skill trees and playstyles. The skills for each class can be enhanced further with augments and unique skills on various items resulting in very interesting and fun ways of playing the game!
  • 1000+ Unique Items
The item system consists of common loot that are randomly generated from different affix pools. Runewords that can be created using white item bases that have sockets by socketing specific runes into them. Satanic, Set, Heroic, Angelic and Unholy items which are considered the "unique" items of the game. These items are hand made to fill a specific purpose or gimmick. All items in the game have randomly rolled stat ranges which determine how powerful the item becomes when unidentified.
  • Tarethiel Market
Hero Siege provides a Market where you can list your items for sale and buy items from other players! This is an essential part of the game!
  • Adventure Journal
Information is important so we have made a journal which can be found behind the exit menu by pressing esc. This journal shows you all the Runewords, Items, Prospect combos, Crafting combos and item Augments in the game.
  • Endless Replayablity
Hero Siege is designed to be played in seasonal cycles like any ARPG. We are adding content in the form of new items, gimmicks, bosses, events or whatever crazy our team comes up with each season!
  • Wormholes
Wormholes offer the player a challenge to try and get the most out of their character and also obtain seasonal rewards depending on how high you are able to go! Seasonal rewards consist of cosmetics of all sorts, from skins to portraits to wings etc.
  • BIG NO-NO for Pay to Win
We will never offer any advantages for gameplay by spending real money. A fair environment is very important to us developers!

If you never played the previous version this game can be a solid 7.5/10 if you ignore the ridiculous amount of cosmetic microtransations and lame late-game. Otherwise, you know how they butched a perfect roguelike with amazing synergies and builds for a horrible diablesque clone of itself from temu.

New players perspective: You open the game, create a new character and 90% of the classes are locked. Okay, I must need to get to a certain level to unlo- oh. I need to buy them. Okay i guess. You then pick your class and start the game. The only thing that gets explained is how to open your stats. That's quite literally the ONLY thing. At this point in time I still do now know how to assign my abilities/skills to my bindings for them. There are plenty of signs in the starting area; GREAT opportunity for some tutorial stuff, but maybe that would take away from the experience you get from standing still slashing at the 200 enemies they throw at you straight away. It would make sense if you were able to learn how to use your skills but no...its just slashing at enemies. After the 3rd completely blank sign in a row I gave up on it. I'm sure if you get far enough into the game, watch a youtube video on how to actually do anything that the game should've told you and get rolling, it coul...

I have been playing this for a while since I was bored, and hey, Just realized last August 2025 another similar game has been released, it has way more polished graphics, costed about 20 bucks, had way better audio and music and storyline, in overall the gameplay feels like magic instead of this game, and I looked at why it would cost nearly a 100 bucks to play Hero Siege and could not find any good reason.

Thought I would give it a try. I usually don't look to reviews and I make a unbiased decision purely on my experience and gameplay and in the very short time with this one, I can say the history of development and the developers themselves seem to be the driving factor as to why the reviews suck. The game itself is fine and I love the art style, music etc, the artists deserve alot of credit. However, the "Live Service" model the Devs seem to be shoving down the players faces, quickly shows in the game itself and it seems that nearly every menu has a "BUY ME!" button. Including - More inventory space, more character saves, cosmetics and even a monthly subscription service, for a house. It honestly isn't justifiable, at all. Just a quick review on Steam shows there is over ÂŁ140 worth of DLC for this game which is crazy alone even after 10 years of development. Take Grim Dawn. A clear example of how to do DLC correctly and larger paid expansions, with supporter packages if you wish ...

Never played an ARPG that nickel and dimed you to such a ridiculous extent. Everything costs money and you're paying for a thoroughly average product. Just go play Path of Exile instead.

Hero Siege doesn't deserve such negative reviews. Game is different and that doesn't mean it's bad, but people hated the transition from roguelike to arpg. Some complain about the price of dlc, but it's a 10+year old game, how else should they get money to support the game? This game is actually fun and surprisingly deep arpg, and it is everything Diablo 2 remaster + poe was supposed to be.
