Sanctuary in Time

A Text-only management game about making a Valkyrie company/harem. If you've ever played Free Cities for the gameplay and not the [i] Gameplay [/i] then you'll probably enjoy this game somewhat, but as of writing, the game is only at 0.6.2 and is a bit lacking in either the management things to do, and lewd things to do. HOWEVER i'd say that, it shows a lot of promise being at this point in development. I personally hope we'll see some sort of "mission select" like Fort-of-Chains has, and overall a bit more interactivity with your little fiefdom and the people in it, like the policies and diplomacy in Free Cities, since having your enemies show up 1-3 times before their boss comes to knock on your bedroom door (literally sometimes) is a bit silly. If both of those elements get implemented even somewhat well, then i'd wholeheartedly support this game. However, seeing that both Fort-of-Chains and Free Cities are 100% Free and have more to do than Sanctuary in time, I really cant suppor...

In my opinion, this is a decent adult text based game. It's a male mc and female npc's game with one on one written encounters and no artwork, which was fine for me, but maybe not for others. I personally don't see much replay value currently, but the price seems very fair for even a single play through to me. I did end up playing for less than a dollar an hour, which is way better than many games price/time ratio.

Whilst the game suggests an inboult narrator I did not spot the option, but NVDA worked fine and the game is perfectly playable by someone who is visually impaired. A text adventure with added base building and stats for yourself and followers that can be improved by said buildings. It is aimed at an adult market and makes a bit of a change from the more basic pure adventure games.

No pictures or audio so far. Only text. Fun little management sim. You should to be able to get your moneys worth out of it if you like management/training nsfw games.

It does a remarkably good job at honing in on exactly what to focus on in text-based turn-based erotic game to maintain an appealing erotic game loop. A few minor complaints such as the random encounter balancing is off - I receive a veritable stream of new recruits which is good for fending off raids, but at the cost of events required to increase love. So most of my recruits are stuck at low levels of love and overwhelming devotion (since devotion doesn't require encounter events). Also if the game isn't [i]Early Access[/i] but is considered feature complete, then the game's lack of extensibility (a single [i].exe[/i] binary) means limitations in respecing; event-less relationship management; and tuning the RNG's tendency to give me an unending series of Nordic housewives each saved from a 16th century witch trial, are unlikely to be addressed or addressable. It's a solid text based game but with extremely limited content for the price, so I'm a bit leery recommending this given the price and the developer's statement that it's feature complete. Currently there's no way to initiate interactions with any of your followers, you're basically dependent on the rng waiting for them to decide to spend time with you (and I've had character's maxed out on love and devotion who completely ignored me for 20+ turns). It would also benefit from some UI cleanup like a double click system for selection rather than click to select then click on ok. All that said the underlying gameplay is solid and the story is actually remarkably engaging, much more so than you'd think from the store page and opening screens. If this gets some updates it could be really great and genuinely amazing for the price, as it is it's probably worth the price and definitely worthwhile on sale but I'd love to see this reach its potential.

Update and edit: Edit: The dev responded to this and through that I have learned that you can unlock all scenes with your respective love interests without doing down that path, as having sex to completion can give the same xp no matter what path you choose for your interest. In lite of this I will be changing my review, as I no long have any issue. Good game, lots of promise! Slow grow to begin. But you can change that with upgrades.
