Mind Over Magnet

The mechanics and visuals are well-made, but the puzzle-solving is fairly uninspired. Mechanics are introduced and well-tutorialized, only to be used a couple times before moving onto the next thing. The biggest issue for me is that there are just so few options on what to do in each level. You often "accidentally" solve puzzles just by doing what is most natural. Sometimes there's one red herring, but rarely anything more than that. There's so little room for experimentation, and if you like finding secrets or alternative solutions, you won't get them with this game. I understand that this project took multiple years and the game design is well-documented, but it really doesn't stand on its own. 10$ for a 2 hour experience is fine with me if it's innovative and memorable, but unfortunately, this game is neither.

I've followed the series on the making of this game since the start and props to Mark for making the game. I don't think I would recommend anyone buy and play this game though, because although this is a well polished experience, the experience is boring. But I would say the YT series is worth watching if you have an interest in how games are made, and that Mark's next game turned out to be a fun time.

The solution is rarely the first thing that comes to mind, but each puzzle has a clear objective, and reaching the final answer is very satisfying. If you're looking for a relaxing puzzle game to enjoy in an afternoon, [b]Mind Over Magnet[/b] is a great choice!

too expensive for the ammount of gameplay you get out of it. buy it only if it is on sale otherwise really good puzzle game, I definitely enjoyed it still too short tho

Fun little puzzle game from Mark Brown!

Colorful and unique, it does take a bit of time to align yourself to the way the game thinks, once you do it is thoroughly enjoyable. 8/10

Wow Mark! What an achievement. I followed the development but the cleverness of your puzzles is truly surprising. What a great balance of difficulty.
