Game's initial experience is amazing. Running a tavern with friends is fun, and perspective to unlock more dishes, cooking stations and rooms for the Tavern is inspiring. But after a while the game loses it focus on Tavern and diverges into questing and adventuring, which are... unfun, to say the least. Combat is utterly barebones, Boss fight is just run around and shoot him with a rifle while "kiting" the adds. Quests are not very original and dialogues are terrible. Tavern's functionality doesn't improve much as the game goes. I expected unlocking 2nd floor with sleeping rooms to be engaging, like bringing food to the guests, cleaning after them etc, but they simply lock themselves in for a while and that's it. Only aftercare is changing the bed sheets. A lot of dishes require go hunting and collecting mushrooms and whatnot. With aforementioned lacking combat, and no navigational tools, it's a huge chore. There should be a hireable hunter and gatherer to automate it for those who ...

FIRST off, I've had some amazing, satisfying and unforgettable moments with me and ma boys on this game right here. An absolutely admirable and cherished game to us considering it's MOSTLY a simulator game, seeing how much it offers beyond what you'd expect. Great boss fights, a multitude of enemies, countless FOOD items, limitless internal tavern design, continuous developer updates/additions, along with OUTSTANDING combat, farming, fishing and neat animal farming which was hilarious most of the time. You genuinely CAN'T beat the price for a game like this, which offers FAR more than what is displayed to the uninitiated, the newcomers. If you're hesitant, just wait for this game to go on SALE, in which it does quite frequently. Ale & Tale Tavern has a FREE version and is STILL incredibly enjoyable, so if you're indecisive on buying this game, try out the other version. Ultimately, this is a phenomenal multiplayer simulator indie game, with HIGH amounts of replayability and unforgett...
from what i have seen in this game it looks vary good and actually fun but when i hopped in, i immediately realized that AI was used for the voice acting. i would have recommended with how fun it looked but i can't recommend a game that chooses to use AI in place of actual talent.
Absolutely loving the game, playing it 2-player with a friend who convinced me to buy it. So glad they convinced me. I love running the little tavern and updating the menu. Keeping up with the little owl helpers to serve all the guests. Its amazing. There are some things for improvements but it is still a fairly new game and is actively being updated as we play. - Combat could use some tweaks we've found it quite unbalanced to the point of making adventuring off putting. The difficulty of the boars and the bears particularly early game put us off hunting and adventuring for quite some time. - More decorations to add to the tavern would be just a fun addition. My friend particularly loves decorating the rooms and more paintings and such would be so fun (my favourite picture is the Vampire) - More helpers to help automate a little more. I understand this game is made for up to 6 players but just as two players keeping track of the farming is difficult. Having a late-game expensive ...
Very good, simple game (dont get me wrong theres enough of different content but nothing complex). In terms of amount of content and different mechanics game is quite good for its length which is about 8-20 hours. I can see them stretching this amount of content behind a grindwall for 40-50 hours but they didnt. Progression is very good, game starts just a little bit slow and after 1-2 hours you will have new stuff to play pretty pretty often until you finish the game. Story/quest line is not serious and it knows it, comedic/self-ironic, typical, laughably stupid maybe. Good Its a great casual game to play with at least one friend
After 20 hours of game play I can say for what looks like this teams first game they did an amazing job I hope to see a Ale & Tale 2. I would like to thank you guys and you would crush a sequel thanks for the great game to play with my brother... 100% the game so I think I would recommend
I have really been enjoying playing this coop game with me wife. We are great inkeepers, and working as a team is fun.
My sibling and I got this game to have a cozy experience and play something together (for reference I often play action/rpgs and she often plays life sims) and had a very disappointing experience. The first couple hours were very fun, the Inn aspect quickly became a (sidelined) part of a story with no progression beyond 'quests' that exposed the limited gameplay possibilities and mechanics. While some may enjoy ignoring those quests and simply brewing ale and boiling corn for eternity, Ale and Tale's Tavern monster invasions prevent that - seriously zombies bursting into our tavern every night made me question if the developers meant to misrepresent the entire point of the game, or just changed their minds after making the promotional stuff here on steam. Higher level dishes require ingredients that players cannot cultivate or buy, thus you have to spend 10 real life minutes gathering and engaging in clumsy combat that it's programming clearly can't support. The combination of quests ...
A very enjoyable game! It's fun and funny, the tavern and inn mechanics are great, and it's overall enjoyable! My one gripe is that there's no third-person mode. I have some friends who would love to play with me but they get motion-sick easily during first-person games. A third-person mode would be greatly appreciated.
10/10! The mechanics for the base gameplay are super accurate to the real-life actions taken to run a small to medium restaurant. As you grow it is very obvious you need multiple people to keep up; 1 on service, 1 on cooking, 1 on bussing and dishes (at minimum). You can get worker drones for single gameplay, which is super awesome. Does need some re-balancing, as early Hunt missions have you fighting beasts way out-classsing you with your measly hatchet.
