About This Game

"Supermarket Simulator" is a chill first-person simulation where every detail of running a supermarket comes alive.

Design your store, optimizing for efficiency and aesthetics. Determine where products are displayed, manage your aisles, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for your customers.

Order stock using an in-game computer. Unpack goods, organize them in your storage room and place them on shelves, fridges, and freezers.

Scan items, take cash and credit card payments, and ensure customers leave satisfied with their shopping and checkout experience.

Navigate the complexities of a real-time market. Buy products when prices dip and determine the best-selling prices to balance customer satisfaction with profit margins.

As you accumulate profits, consider reinvesting. Expand your store's physical space, upgrade interiors, and continually adapt to the evolving demands of the retail world.

Personalize your shop to make it unique. Customize the floors, paint the walls, put up category signs, and more.

Not every customer visits your store in person. Receive online orders, prepare the packages, and deliver them yourself.

Tired of paying delivery fees or searching for discounts? Visit local markets to find the best deals.

Make your store shine. Clean the floor, take out the trash, and polish the windows to keep everything squeaky clean.

Not everyone is a paying customer. Use security tools like cameras and alarm sensors, or hire security guards to protect your store from shoplifters.

In "Supermarket Simulator", every decision matters. Will you rise to the occasion, transforming a modest establishment into a retail powerhouse, all while balancing customer satisfaction, and finances?

I didn't notice the AI art when I bought the game. Clearly I enjoy it, but I can't give a positive review until the AI art is replaced.

Bought this a few days after it originally dropped in the early access phase, and have thoroughly enjoyed playing! I stopped playing for a time where there were no updates as it felt monotonous and lacking something but the updates over the last 6 months have made it a really enjoyable game. It does take a LOT of grinding to make enough money to expand the store, buy licences etc but I think that's whats kept me hooked as the game isn't too easy that I just get bored and find something else to play

Starts out fun and relaxing, and kind of addictive. But after a while it gets more and more clear what a flawed game this really is. It's full of bugs, and some of the core gameplay loops are very unbalanced and just become tedious. - Making deliveries for extra profit is not fun and the vehicles barely help. - The fact that there are stores in the "city" where you can buy cheaper products to increase profits seems interesting until you realize what an absolute tedium it would be to actually make full use of this possibility. Either you have to run back and forth on foot, or save up to buy a car, which takes a lot of work. And even then there's no good way of handling the shopping list for such a procedure. - I have unlocked plenty of upgrades for my store and storage that I simply don't need (I have plenty of room for all the stuff I need) but I still have TEN LEVELS to go before my next product license unlock. So I would just need to grind day in and day out with the same store setu...

This is a fun game, but there are many things that don't really make sense. - I think that the rewards do not align with profit. Many things costs a lot of money to do. I am seeing why there is such a low percentage rate of those getting steam achievements. The balance of reward and profit is off - it's really hard to obtain things unless you're are committed to playing this game for hours and hours. I think this would make many people give up on playing because it takes too long to do stuff. - I don't want to HAVE to paint the walls as an objective. This should be optional - or lower the cost of paint. Again, this is one of those unbalanced costs vs. what I am making in the game. $200 per paint bucket that doesn't even fill an entire wall. - On the cash register, the amount due back to customer is in a bright yellow font - it's really hard to read. They should make this portion of font in red or have some kind of black outline around the yellow - they should also make this...

Aisle be honest, I didn’t expect to become emotionally attached to cartons of milk I started this game thinking I’d run a calm little shop. Maybe stock a few shelves, scan some barcodes, live my best low-stress retail fantasy. Instead, I’ve: Been mugged by inflation Accidentally ordered 40 loaves of bread And watched helplessly as my virtual customers sprinted at me like it was Black Friday at 8am. I now fear the words “We're out of eggs.” I haven't blinked in hours. The cash register beeps haunt me. 10/10 would shout “PRICE CHECK ON TOILET PAPER” again. Jeff Bezos who? I’m the CEO now.

For now I don't recommend First: AI cover art is a bit lazy especially since the game isn't in beta anymore, I would understand the AI cover art if it was in beta but it's not. Second: There isn't a option for multiple saves which can be annoying if your friend comes over or something and wants to start a new game. Third: Whenever you start a new game you have to replay the tutorial again which can get really annoying. Fourth: You can't change the key binds witch is really annoying because the button to put crates/boxes down is G Fifth: You can only have one vehicle at a time WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a kaiser named Wilhelm II, he was eighty six years-old and he retired into a mental hospital because BLACK MONDAY occurred in his country's comment section . He got so bad he went to DISSOLVE THE SCHLEICHER CONSTITUTION so the Parliament decided that best idea was to get rid of him so they built a special ho...

honestly its a game that can be fun for a while but gets VERY tedious VERY quickly, employees are slow AF (note im reveiewing the game, not the game + mods so "X mod solves this" is not really valid) also they use ai generated imagery in their promo stuff and thats cringe af especially considering the success of the game, they can afford to pay an artist to draw them up a promotional picture

There's a good core gameplay loop here, but it's in need of some serious refinement. 1) There are too many annoying bugs. Nothing game breaking that I've found, but there's a couple in particular that irritate me. Like occasionally you'll get a customer delivery order with no notification. In this scenario, bringing up the bag shows the incorrect number of delivery orders in progress. You can still fill the order, but you need to be constantly checking to make sure one didn't slip in. Also, there's a bug with the car where about 2/3 of the time, putting a box in the trunk also causes you to enter the car, which is *really* annoying when you're trying to load up a bunch of boxes, which you'll have to do because...... 2) The game gets *very* tedious about 10 hours in. Once you unlock a vehicle, you'll realize that you effectively *need* to get your products from the other stores around town, because they all sell goods at half their market value. This is the only realistic w...

I have played since this game was first released on Early Access, and I really don't like the additions that the devs added to the game like thieves, cleaning, and all the extra stuff. I play simulation games to chill, but this game is a grindfest and now it has things that just make playing genuinely not fun.
