I'd rate this game 5.5/10 in its current state. Performance is great, I get solid 80 fps using Index res 500% with an RTX 3090 - res 500% is an insane res of 45 million pixels per frame combining both eyes. Maps are extremely small, probably due to this game being made for bottom-end phone gpus like Adreno 650 inside the Quest 2's XR2 SoC. That said, the game looks great with high-res-ish textures and dynamic shadows - but I don't think we get bigger maps, better AI and more moveable units than a phone gpu can handle. The game has no settings for graphics and sure could need some antialiasing. The gameplay is very simple, you just put down units and they move themselves. Once put on the ground, you cannot decide where any unit should move (this is called an auto-battler, as you control very little). This is worse controls than Command & Conquer had in 1995, lol - but if you never played RTS before, maybe this is nice. For experienced RTS players, get Brass Tactics instead, it's r...
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/GVzNW8hyZxQ This is a neutral recommendation. I really wanted to give this game a glowing recommendation. I had fun and it's a beautiful looking game. However, the lack of content and the lack of communication from the devs on Steam, leave me to only give this a cautionary neutral recommendation. Buy at your own risk! Buy only to support development. Development may have ceased already. There is a concerning post on the Steam forum about the developer. I don't know if it's true or not, but if true, it would be a clear red flag for buying this game. I have no way to verify the veracity of the post, but feel free to read it on the Steam community forums for this game. It is strange that the developers have not responded. It is a serious allegation. I did try to play online multiplayer PvP quickplay, but it just stayed on connecting. I assume nobody is playing this game ...
I'm honestly extremely impressed by this game! I'm not a big RTS player but I decided to pick this up because it was affordable and looked pretty unique. I love how the game is simple enough for pretty much everyone to understand and enjoy from the first game you play unlike most other super complicated non-VR titles that I've played in the past. (this is my first time playing a RTS in VR) I will strongly recommend this to everyone, especially if you would like to play some 1v1 competitive while sitting on the couch or bed. Matches are also quick (ranges between 5 and 30 minutes) depending on how equally matched you are. You can play online or offline against AI. This game also looks great while not being very resource intense which is a good thing for a potential VR esports title like this. Yes, coming from a competitive player myself, I see a ton of potential for this game BLOWING UP! This game has just released and I have not experienced any bug so far. This is now actually my se...
Game is meh but what makes it unplayable is the inability to turn off the music...even if the music was any good (which it isn't), I'd still prefer to hear my own.
What a fun game! For early access, this seems pretty well polished but there are a few gripes! First and foremost, the gameplay and graphics are fantastic! I'm running a 4070 Super so your experience may vary, but it is honestly such a beautiful little game! Now the gripes I have are the "Hub" where you start at, as it looks very cartoonish and not a good representation of the graphics during gameplay, I would love to see the spruced up! Second, matchmaking is a bit slow and at times it throws you into the middle of a game (It's almost like someone was playing against AI and then you took over the AI spot). It's very sporadic but I'm sure as more players join this is cease. Lastly, I would love to see a campaign, perhaps I missed it but it's all PvE/PvP with no story which is a shame, still fun but feels very mobile game status, please add a story! Overall, if you are a fan of RTS, Board Games, Clash Games, Lane Battlers, then this will be your new favorite! Being able to do it all...
just needs some building or turret building and player level system and im hooked :)
earliest access, got instantly hooked. i kind of relive through my warcraft 3 td times. i hope this will get frequently updated.
Basically it's clash of clans in VR, it was fun and not easy. I would say as many others that the map is really small, so there is no way to play in tacktik, just in "waves". Also I would suggest to add some pending time before new units should fire, otherwise equal units kill each other at one time. Also it may be good idea to allow to select soome buf at the beggining, like +5 heals each unit or +10 speed of firing, to make it more different from game to game
There's some potential here, a simple competitive game, however I'd recommend it more for mobile VR rather than PCVR as I think it's perfect for lounging about without wires.
