This is actually my first review. A word in advance: I am a big fan of the old (and one new) games by Poki. Deponia series, the two Edna and Harvey games. Those games are not only funny, but they have a deeper meaning. Especially the Edna games explore a more darker psychological side. And then there's Mindlock. Heavily inspired by Pokis work. The artstyle is a more gritty evolution of Deponia and the story has it's roots in the first Edna game, although
not as dark and with a more friendly outcome
. I picked the game up while sick in bed. I wanted to have some fun distraction. The game delivered even more than that. It left me entertained, thinking and even more emotionally touched than I am willing to admit. The story should be experienced by everyone on their own. If you already arrived in your adult life and feel a bit lost, then this game will resonate with you. Graphics are what you expect from an adventure of this type. Consistent drawn art style and nice ...

Pretty solid game about feelings of a guy stuck in a loop and a emotional turmoil on a way to unstuck. Game never answer the question what is going on there exactly but it's not a focus of a game anyway. Overall pretty solid experience outside of annoying bug in one of a later chapters. Underdiscovered gem.

This was a game which I didn't want to come to an end. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It took me 14 hours and I had to look at a walkthrough on a few occasions. The surreal storyline captured my imagination and the artwork, which at first I was hesitant about, quickly drew me in. The characters are beautifully crafted, a trifle cliched but none the worse for that. At the start I thought the main character was pretty obnoxious but was soon hoping that everything would go well for him. The father's voice acting (in English) is a superb blend of superiority and disdain, And I must mention Valeria whose voice (in English) made me want to unburden my soul to her.

Needs a hint button, I find myself stuck in the same problem for a longer time than I need to be because this game is so out there. Too confusing at times when help would be wanted.

I didn’t expect such a weird little game to pull me in like that, but wow. The mix of puzzles, dry humor and that totally surreal apartment vibe kept me glued to the screen the whole time. It’s like stepping into someone’s dream… or maybe nightmare. The main character is super relatable in a sad-funny kind of way and the writing is way smarter than I expected. If you enjoy point and click adventures that are a bit strange, a bit deep and definitely different, this one is a hidden gem. It made me laugh and think at the same time. Loved it.

On the + side: I loved Colin's Eeyore-like sarcastic wit and dour outlook on life, as well as the familial reasons behind it. The exploration for information/artifacts and interaction with others (including Sparky) was fun. The voiceovers were emotive and well done. On the - side: A lot of tasks you have to do were not intuitive, such as knowing to put a spider in the soup, flushing a toaster down the toilet, writing on the pizza box so the door will open, etc. It got laborious and redundant to have to get inside the devs mind on these bizarre requirements before moving on. I had to watch a lot more walkthroughs for this game than most others. All in all, I appreciated this game's imagination and creativity. It is well done and the storyline is a good philosophy of life, to boot.

Great game, with easy controls, fab graphics, and a good, interesting story line, which at times had me on the edge of my seat, but also very mild jump scares on a couple of occasions. I hope more games get released by this developer. Easily worth the money I paid.
