About the Game

Ballionaire is a physics-driven roguelike full of kinetic chaos! Build the perfect pachinko board and trigger insane combos. Break the game with rule-bending boons. Overcome arduous tribulations as you climb the ranks of the Ballionaires.

Welcome to the autobonker genre!

Features

  • Bonk Your Way to Victory: Drop a ball to bonk triggers, earn money, and spawn more balls! Draft new triggers each round to increase the chaos and your earnings! Build an overpowered scoring engine or an unstoppable spawn spammer! Or maybe both?

  • Satisfy the ELDERS’ Monetary Demands: Each run, survive by paying tribute to three ELDERS. They’ll challenge you by introducing devious game-changing TRIBULATIONS. Fail and PERISH. Succeed and you’ll become a BALLIONAIRE - then try a new way to win!

  • Master Multiple Boards: You've built the perfect layout on the Pyramid, but what happens when up is down on the Danger Wheel? Can you make a skill shot on the Pinball table? Highly varied game boards require fresh theorycrafting! Play your way! Ban triggers or boons to shape your ideal set of score-busting tools.

  • 145+ Triggers, 55+ Boons: Spawn Eggs with a Chicken, cut Coins in half with an Axe, feed a Whale until it blows every ball back out! Get a second chance with the Boomerang, double your bonks with the Eject Button, and keep your board running smoothly with the Air Conditioner. Win with food, win with weapons… whatever you choose, just make sure you appease the Elders!

  • Play In A Sandbox: Experiment in the Laballatory - hone your theory-crafting before a run, make a meme, or build an impossibly busted board. Share your board with friends and see who can rack up the biggest bucks!!

  • Mod Support through Steam Workshop: Dream up your own triggers and bring them to life with Ballionaire’s Lua-based custom content API. Share custom starter packs you've found helpful!

  • Ballionaire is designed to deliver endless replayability and satisfying, brain-tickling fun!

Pros: -It looks really nice visually -Music is not annoying -sound effects are satisfying -relaxing Cons: -Very little interaction - Often times you just sit there for over a minute just watching your ball bounce, creating other balls which create other balls (I often just set it to 4x speed and look at my phone while I wait) -Too easy -Not much depth Sadly, I can't recommend this game. I really did want to like it.

game wont launch. gets to splash screen and then freezes. apparently a common problem without a defined solution. seems the developer answers every query on the subject with "submit a support ticket" for the past year. trust me when i say ive tried everything to get this game to work to no avail. this may not be your experience, but buyer beware

super complicated and silly. It's a bit too chaotic to have a good strategy element

Great roguelite, but it's not without its issues. Long after you've unlocked every additional piece of content, you keep accruing unlocks that now serve no purpose. In addition, there's no way to see what maps and difficulty levels you've cleared so progression through the game feels empty. If that's all the negative comments I can muster, it's a solid game though. Worth playing for sure.

In a world where there is a genre that might as well be called "Balatro but with <x>", Ballionaire is Balatro but with Plinko. You drop a ball and whatever it hits earns you money, and after each drop you to choose a item that changes the board state to hopefully make a build to beat the ever-increasing goal post. The premise is good and it delivers. There is a lot more to builds than in normal games of this type. You're effectively building a deck that combos well with each other. On the bigger boards, you're often building several sections up for the most optimal plan, and that is really fun. The different gimmicks of the board also changes your build strategy too, and there are a some items, especially as of the last patch, that add a lot more interactivity. When you get something that works, it feels really good to blow past your goal. The art is cute and vibrant, the effects of a full board are a cacophony of different rewarding effects and it overall delivers an experience vari...
