Movies Tycoon

I was looking for a "The Movies" alternative/new version and this game feels exactly like playing Movies. Thank you so much guys. Only thing that could be better for me are the Award shows, they could be a bit more detailed and better spoken. Rest is great

Urgh. I REALLY wanted to like this game, I was prepared to give it a lot of slack, and I enjoyed about the first 2 hours, but I realised when I couldn't face loading it up again that it needed to be uninstalled. There are four main things that killed this for me - 1. They just haven't addressed the micro-management problem that threatens all such games. Seriously, I need to manually go and find each employee from a tab, and drop them into their location where I've actually employed them to work just for them to get on and do some work when needed? Some of this doesn't just need tweaking, it needs a complete rethink from someone with a fresh look. 2. The quality system, whereby you set how a movie should be made, is shockingly unintuitive, to the point of frustration. It takes so many stages to make a movie, and to realise at the end you have no real idea why the ratings failed is painful. Seems like I will spend more time in the movie editor than the game itself. Love the movie sharing but the editor needs a lot more work still

Feels like there are a lot of assets off the Unity store. Animations are poor, the graphics glitch frequently which leads to clipping or wonky hair, and the film studio is far from intuitive to use. This game needs quite some work to fill the void that The Movies left years ago.

As a fan of The Movies game, I was excited to see a game that has a lot in common with said game above. Being able to play a similar version of one of my favorite games on modern windows without installing patches from odd sites to get it working is truly a blessing. Seeing certain areas expanded upon that you wished were implemented in the 2005 title is every fans wet dream, tweaking the layout of script for humor, vfx and dialogue for example and hiring editors. I can’t wait to explore more of what this title has and is to come. With that being said, There’s a lot of issues that I came across during my playtime. -I can’t add anymore crew for a production that I need 7 for and I have 2 spaces left but when I drag new hires to the spots they just walk away and they’re not hired,and nothing is filming btw (it’s probably something I did and not a bug) -The UI and what’s being done on the lot is a little cumbersome. Like the other guy said, this is the best of the several The Movies wannabe games out there this year. Which is tragic.

The game does a lot of things right. It would be great if we could produce TV series. I think it's brilliant that someone has dared to tackle the subject. It would also be cool if you could buy good scripts at auctions, and more details about the actors, and what would also be awesome would be a streaming service.
