Huuuge yes! Very entertaining puzzle game. You don't have to spend two days figuring out the puzzle or looking in 10 different places for a clue, but sometimes it needs your quick reflexes >.>

OK game. The puzzles are fun and clever, though the action sequences are fairly weak. The story/characters may as well not exist for how underdeveloped they are.

Is This Game Trying To Kill Me? is a brutally challenging roguelike that unapologetically tests the limits of your patience, reflexes, and strategic thinking. Developed by the indie studio Hike Games, it throws players into a minimalist, procedurally generated world where death is frequent, and every move can be your last. The game’s title is a cheeky nod to its merciless difficulty, setting the tone for an experience that thrives on frustration, learning through failure, and the satisfaction of incremental progress. It’s a game designed for those who crave punishing gameplay and a high-stakes environment where mastery feels hard-earned and deeply rewarding. The core gameplay loop is deceptively simple: you navigate a grid-based map filled with hostile creatures, environmental hazards, and traps. Movement and combat are turn-based, requiring careful planning and split-second decisions. What makes Is This Game Trying To Kill Me? stand out is its intricate interplay between risk and...

Its not very long, but it can be enjoyed for a good few hours. A lot of puzzles and fun ways to interact within the game. Also, the textures are delicious.

A fun point and click escape room that utilizes both the game's surroundings and the game-within-the-game's interactions to present puzzles that (personally) feel fair and makes you feel pretty damn good about solving them As some of the other reviews have stated, definitely has an Inscryption vibe to it which is a massive positive - a creepy aesthetic but not exactly horror, which is perfect for games like this A little on the shorter side for its price-point, but in this day and age, being able to complete a game in a night's (or two) sitting is very satisfying If it's on sale, this is a great purchase Getting all the achievements wasn't too difficult either

It's... fine. The 3D world has a nice spooky vibe (at first) and the 3D puzzles are fine. The 2D portion of the game is boring and not very engaging. As the game wears on, you realize that nothing genuinely scary is going to happen, and the spooky atmosphere wears off. The English writing is a bit awkward. If you're expecting something like Inscryption, this isn't it. I was expecting a lot more based on the "overwhelmingly positive" reviews.

Great short-ish spooky puzzle game! Really wonderful atmosphere, nothing too hard for the puzzles but that's not a bad thing. I beat it in about 3 hrs which is the perfect length for something like this I think. If you like escape the room games and want something that has a few jump scares, give this a shot!
