I remember buying and playing this game years ago in the hope that it would be like the version found back in Warcraft 3 custom games. Man, those were the days. Great memories. Unfortunately, this just tarnishes them. This game is not like the simple and easy to play game from way back then. It is hard to see, all the time. I understand it is both a stylistic choice and a mechanical choice (shooting at dark enemies increases miss chance, throwing flares for light helps), but in the end all you have is little more than a black screen that frustrates and annoys. I suppose it helps to hide how old and bad this game looks. It looked old and bad even when it first came out, so coming back to it and trying to play it again... Wow, yeah, it just does not work well or look good. The controls are obtuse and frustrating. How you are supposed to play the game is obscure and annoying.
