Reviewing a hentai game on main? More common than you think. Lets get this out of the way. This is... a clone of a very well known IP. The gameplay loop is incredibly similar, to say the least. That being said, this game is fun. Its got the core gameplay of a gen 1, while having some nice T&A and generally great graphics. It's a fun little game that passes the time, which is why I bought it. Dev is actively making more to this game, so thats a huge positive as well. If he makes a Spirit Valley 2, I'd deffo buy that as well.

What if Pokemon had a spinoff devoted entirely to porn and sex and sex jokes? And if all Pokemon consisted solely of Anthropomorphic and Human versions of Pokemon? That is the entire basis of this game. The game is pretty good, with simpler mechanics for battles, stats, and so forth. Easy to learn. The main selling points of the game is great comedy, entertaining story, and lots of porn revolving almost entirely around collecting Spirits and training them with affection and experience. Worth playing if you want a game for any one of these reasons, cause it does it all pretty well.
I would say this is a neutral review. in the discord under the main chat it says a pokemon style lewd adventure and it nails that. Its does nothing different than pokemon. So if you want to turn your brain off andf just catch stuff sure whatever. But as a game goes it has terrible writing, the writing is so bad I almost changed the language. Its so juvenile its like teen humor " get my dirty magazine don't worry about the pages being sticky hehe" come on what are you 15. The animations are ok at best especially because from some creatures and even some evolutions they are the same. The creatures suffering from same face is a lesser problem but this generally happens when you have one artist that is new to variations. I wouldn't even point it out but once you notice one bad thing about a game the rest starts to snowball. But seriously I don't think the adult game space has to be treated like lesser media because its a adult game. Its still a game its just for adults. The de...
game was okay but it gets boring fast and the discord is full off creepy man
It's porny Pokemon, no more and no less. It captures the same sort of cute yet horny energy of the dev's previous game Scarlet Maiden. The explicit elements are integrated pretty seamlessly so they're nearly constant without actually interrupting the flow of gameplay, and it's got the kind of cheeky vibe that makes this kind of thing work. I suppose my only note is that it mimics classic Pokemon gameplay so closely that it carried over some of my frustrations with the older 2-D games in the franchise, such as having to either completely overload yourself with healing items for after every battle (and do whatever grinding is needed to be able to afford this) or having to return to town often enough for it to be a hassle. But if you like classic Pokemon gameplay and you like cheeky pixel style porn, they're pretty perfectly married here.
Pokemans. Except you smash.
This is a borderline 5/10 review case, leaning towards no for me. It's not awful or anything, but I didn't particularly enjoy it and I'm not sure I'll bother finishing it. +Cute and colourful art style, with lots of different mons designs. +Reasonable attempts at QoL (auto-run, multiple teleport points). +Decent amount of content for the price point. +/- Personal preference, but the style is too cutesy to be erotic. I found myself capturing the new mons not because I cared about the scenes, but solely because my brain is wired to 'catch them all'. The scenes are also repeated a lot, though that's understandable with 70+ mons. -It's incredibly boring. 95% of the game is combat, and the combat system has really been stripped down to basics. There's a very heavy focus on stat buff/debuff moves, with later mons having moves that affect the entire team. Every battle is usually just the enemy mons spamming the shit out of these types of moves, while you're just trying to kill them as fast...
Punch The Monkey. Spirit Valley's demo starts off as a "catch and collect the critters" game, and does reasonably well at that. When the "Punch the monkey" mechanic shows up, the player is given the impression that it's something that is optional - if you aren't good at it, you can still play. You may not progress your characters as fast as somebody who can punch the monkey well, but you can play. So you buy the game, and invest time in it. And then WHAM - you run into a place where not only MUST you play punch the monkey, but you must EXCELL at it. If you canont play an almost perfect game, you WILL NOT ADVANCE in the story. There is no option to bypass, no "OK, you can go here and get this and skip this part". There are many people on the discussions talking about how to cheat around this - when people are motivated to cheat around a game mechanic on a single player game, it's time to rethink that mechanic. I wish the demo had made it clear that punch the monkey was a required part ...
99% game i used a board with a hole, a toptir at the very beginning of the game and until the end. 100% achiv, What should I do now?..
This game is not for me, that is why I don't reccommend it. If any of the following are key aspects that you enjoy in hentai games, then this game is your cup of tea: -Furry -Focus on gameplay rather than sex scenes (or oversimplified scenes) -Veeeery grindy endgame -Focus on Gameplay (way) above story As soon as this game launched I bought it and my pride as a completionist made me spend a surreal amount of time on it. Like the other game of the team, the focus is more on gameplay and the lewd serves as an undertone. However, unlike Scarlet Maiden, several animations are recycled and the awful timing minigame makes a return in order to advance the scenes. The game itself is a copy of Pokemon but lacking a lot of dept. I loved Scarlet Maiden and I regret purchasing Spirit Valley and to add insult to injury, one spirit is bugged so getting 100% is impossible until it is fixed
