Courtin' Cowboys

To preface this review: I like this game. There's a lot to appreciate and I'm always down to support solo devs and artists. Overall, I'd recommend it. That being said, I'm admittedly disappointed based on how cool the concept of the game is. The wild west is always a cool setting, but combining that with mystery, horror, and a dating sim is such a genius concept. The art is also phenomenal. It has such a distinct style that makes all the characters look so cool. The designs are great as well! I love how characters are represented through their colors and tones in the art style. My problems, unfortunately, begin with the writing. Being a woman who is primarily interested in other women, my first game encounters were with the two female characters in the game. Both of them (especially Jade) have designs that I adore. I really wanted to uncover some depth and story to these two characters. Instead what I got were dialogue trees that lasted 5 minutes. I was enjoying getting all the achievements until I just stopped getting them for some reason? And the sheriff's office stopped working as well. Game seems bugged. Other than that I was having a lot of fun :/ oh well
