About This Game

STORY:
After receiving a distressing email from your Brother, you travel to his last known location.
The only thing that greets you is a one-man Submersible.
Diving into the depths below, you explore various mysteries the ocean has to offer.

The once thriving, under-ocean research center now lies abandoned, waiting for anyone brave enough to explore it.

What treasures and secrets will you discover down below?

GAMEPLAY:

Dive as deep as you can, collecting treasure and artifacts along the way!

Survive and escape the ocean's inhabitants as you traverse the rocky coral reefs, sunken ships, and abandoned outposts!

Everything you discover is randomly generated so no two dives are the same!

Use the money you've earned to get new equipment, upgrade your vessel, and deck out your dock!

Investigate and discover what lies at the bottom of the ocean!

There are over 70 unique monsters in the ocean!

I've always loved procedural games...and extraction games. My time playing Lethal Company solo with balancing mods will attest to that. This game scratches that itch. I'm not sure how the POI generation works. Be it you're encountering static POIs in a random order or generated based on rooms/modules like how Lethal Company (and most procedural dungeons) do it. But I'm still having a ton of fun docking on locations and just looting everything I could find. Weapons and enemies are a bit clunky...but it doesn't take away from the thick atmosphere and fun looting. Get it. Edit: I've asked the dev how generation works. And yes, it is modular for generating the locations. So really that goes to show how well the generation has been made if I thought the coral reefs and ship wrecks were handcrafted. There's been a couple times that I noticed module clipping in the facility maps, but other than that...fantastic job with the generation.

Finally, a good underwater horror game. Those are rare! It has a great, tense atmosphere throughout. The deeper you dive, the more rewarding it becomes, but also more dangerous. If your sub implodes, you lose all progress from that run. The levels are interesting and complex, and unexpected events keep things engaging. There are lots of thoughtful details, and you can upgrade your equipment to explore even deeper.

Way too buggy and tedious. I'd rather play lethal.
