About This Game

This is a single-player FPS where you beat up a lot of fire monsters as Mio, the cheerful sea goddess. Fire your water guns with unlimited ammo, mow down waves of enemies and feel refreshed!

Key Features

  • Fight hordes of enemies.
As the story progresses, more monsters will appear and eventually more than 30 enemies will attack you at once. Enjoy the exhilaration of defeating enemies!
  • Shoot and shoot.
Good news for all you trigger-happy people. You can shoot as many bullets as you want. What a surprise, you don't even need to reload!
  • Aim for the weak points.
Most enemies have weak points. It is very beneficial to attack their weak points to inflict heavy damage. In particular, humanoid enemies always have a weak spot in their head, so be aggressive and aim for a headshot.
  • Unique friends will work with you.
Each level will be accompanied by several allies. You will have opportunities to talk to them, so you will never feel lonely on your way.

Game Modes

There are two game modes available!

Story Mode
In this mode, you play as Mio, the goddess of the sea, and enjoy the story of finding the cause of this summer's unusually hot weather. Advance through a total of 16 levels and fight a lot of monsters.
Each level can be completed in about 10 minutes. If you are familiar with FPS, you can complete this mode in about 2 hours.

Challenge Mode
In this mode, you can challenge yourself with 3 levels that are more difficult than the Story Mode.
  • Speed Run:
Run through levels full of enemies and try to reach the goal within 5 minutes.
  • Survival:
Swarms of enemies will appear 8 times. Defeat all of them and survive!
  • Boss Rush:
A series of battles against enhanced Story Mode bosses.

Story

It's hot, too hot! This summer, many parts of the world were experiencing unusual heat.
During this time, Mio was tired from the heat, so she decided to go out to buy ice cream. But this shopping trip leads her into a battle with the Burning King's army!

TLDR: Mio and the Hot Summer, like the British summer, is brief, cheap, and simple...but, like the British summer, it's also charming, refreshing, and worth experiencing. * * * * * You are Mio, Goddess of the Sea, whose plan to have some ice cream on a hot summer's day quickly turns into a quest to put out the fires of conquest with dual-wield water pistols! Your water powers mean your weapons have infinite ammo, so you can focus on soaking increasingly large swarms of goofy monsters before they overwhelm you with weight of numbers or cartoonish combustibles. The gameplay is simple: you glide around shooting monsters Quake-style, never needing to take your fingers of the triggers, occasionally talking to simply designed characters and piecing together a short story where everyone - friend and foe alike - is just trying to do their best. There is no great challenge, though the difficulty does build appropriately throughout; the boss fights won't really push you, but t...

Fun shooter with cute art. It's cheap and short, it has a demo, it runs great on a variety of PCs, what's not to like? Buy it!

Soak, stream, and water gun fiery enemies in your quest for ice cream and a cool breeze! Pros: - Unique enemy appearances - Bonus modes and challenges after you beat the game - Satisfying "critical" sounds - Fun boss concepts - Responsive and fast ground movement leaves enemies in the dust - Character posing on the main menu. KurokumaSoft knows their audience. Cons: - Enemies have a similar "height" to their weak points, lowering shot variability - Enemies can spawn on top of you - Unlimited ammo, stagger system, and overtuned weapons reduce difficulty of encounters and bosses (SMG is very strong) - Lacks modern aim sensitivity settings - Jump pads give the player "floaty" jumps, reducing movement agency
