I can certainly recommend if you are a fan of redwall. Otherwise I'm not sure. I thought this would be more of an arcady experience in how you cook the food, but it is a slow thought out kind of process. I'll certainly play more, but if you are looking for a cooking mama clone then this isn't it. My one complaint is I wish you could redo customers, and have a scoreboard for your efforts. A fine game all the same.

Charming and cozy, very casual cooking game with a cute story. The typos and misspellings are absolutely everywhere, but it really doesn't hurt the story at all. None of the misspellings are so egregious that any of the story is truly lost. A few other bugs at the time of this review, though: Upon opening the game a 2nd time, some tutorial segments popped up again but it was easily dispatched so not a huge deal. Sometimes, also, the last dialogue from the previous customer will be there as the opening dialogue for the next customer... bit weird but again, not game-breaking by any means. Sometimes music and sound settings do not save between sessions, and sometimes mouse clicks do not register until a few extra clicks have been mashed into whatever button I'm trying to click. So far, I've only noticed this when recalling the foragers I've sent out. All somewhat small bugs, honestly. The game works fine, looks fine, and plays fine in spite of all I've mentioned; it might just need an up...
I love this game! It has all the charm and coziness of the Redwall books, but the cooking system is fresh and addictive. The cooking uses a mix of actions and timing to grade you on your culinary skills, and it feels a lot like cooking in real life--just more fun. I actually feel inspired to cook something now, but instead I'll just play a little more...
This is a relaxing little game. This is my first game of this kind (light cooking sim?), but I'm finding it oddly satisfying to play the minigames to chop, dice, or slice the ingredients. The cooking process itself feels fast paced and a bit tense in a good way. The little conversations before and after are wholesome and fun to read despite the occasional typo (so far). I really love that there's an idle aspect to this game too, with the foragers. It works well to boot up the game before you're ready to sit down and play, so you can send out the foragers and get some extra ingredients before receiving the guest for the day. After playing awhile I've settled into a routine of doing one recipe in this game before going and playing another game, and it works well that way for me, though sometimes I like to do several in-game days/recipes in a row. I haven't read the Redwall books yet, but that hasn't caused any problem for me--I imagine I'd get even more out of the game if I had, but this...
The Uncivil Weekly Release Party! - Quick Pros & Cons from our Game Session: PROS! -Probably enjoyable for fans of the series -Easy-going gameplay -Pleasant music CONS! -Not attention grabbing -Too much dialogue, we want to COOK -Glitchy minigames at times Video Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0RuMk8qmCQ
it's a wholesome game with some redwall lore to it. and yeah I'll recommend this game to all players of all levels. :)
A simple but charming cooking game that is good to play for relaxation.
While I bought it because I am looking to support one of my favorite childhood series, this game is clearly geared for a younger audience. But even for someone older, like myself, I can say I enjoyed what I have played so far. I particularly enjoy the core concepts of cooking and how they are presented in a digestible manner for young learners. A great holiday gift if you want to help increase a loved one's steam library.
This was lovely! Nice story, cooking was fun, a good return to the world of Redwall.
REDWALL!!!!! love this game! Lots of fun cooking redwall foods!!
