As someone who’s loved the Broken Sword series since George first bumbled into ancient conspiracies with that charming smirk, it physically hurts me to say this... but this ain’t it. When Broken Sword 5 was announced on Kickstarter, I was hyped. Like, irrationally hyped. The promise of a return to 2D, classic-style adventuring? Take my money. Take my hope. And then the game did exactly that. It took all of it and gave me back a story trapped inside something that barely qualifies as a functioning game. Let’s talk about the highlight of the experience. Crashes. Non-stop. Every five, ten, sometimes fifteen minutes if I was blessed by the adventure gods. And sure, there is autosave, so you do not lose everything, just your patience and will to live. One crash made me replay a seven-minute unskippable cutscene. Seven minutes. I had time to reheat my coffee and reevaluate my decisions. The animation? Fine, until you actually watch it. There is a weird stiffness to everything, like ...

Game is ok but... no cross-platform saves :/ -> Started it on PC, cannot continue it on Mac :/ At least, Steam Cloud is not advertised for this game.
Similar vibes to the first one. Which is a good thing.
This is a funny, story rich point and click. Runs great on the deck and looks good on the deck too !
Solid game that on the whole delivers a fun experience (for lovers of the genre), but I feel it could be a lot better. Something about the plot progression felt a bit artificial and more often than not, somewhat predictable. The cipher type puzzles is something I really like and I felt has some untapped potential. Can't wait to see how the upcoming Parzival's Stone will turn out.
I didn't know this was the last broken sword, anyway, it was really good, a couple of the puzzles are really hard, though I like that they give you enough hints for you to solve it without having to ask AI. Nico is super sexy in this one, and you get your fair share of buffoons as well, no spoilers. George is the same with his lame american humour as even one of the villains points out, so no giveaways there. So I give this game a good accolade, the ending even brought almost a tear to my eye and a little bit of a chin tremor lol.
Worthy entry in Broken Sword series. Great story and puzzles. Amazing locations. George and Nico get married already!
Yes, this was supposed to be the real Broken Sword 3.
