This game...just, why? Why does this even exist? How is this not priced lower? The sound design is literally painful enough to make one's ears bleed, the gameplay feels stupidly broken, enemy AI just stands there and shoots or gets shot by you. The damn computer voice that talks to you every 2 minutes sounds like he's trying to be funny, while going through puberty. This game is worse than torture, and nobody should have to suffer through it. Stay away. Stay far away.

About This Game
The robo-tastic but slightly longer description:
Iron Soul is the unpredictable fusion of 3rd person shooting and fast platforming in a story driven, 3D action game. To make it happen, the team drew inspiration from various old school 3rd person titles we all know and love (Name dropping MDK!). Such elements are reinvigorated within an industrial setting full of mad robots, unknown voices and mysterious compounds. It has been a long, two year journey for both the project and its protagonist, H-25 but we are finally there. Now we must stand united to withstand the force of upcoming threat, commenly known as bot-mageddon!
Features list for list fans:
* Mechanical Tales: Two story-focused campaigns (Though more like 1.5) that tell the tale of one robot invasion as well as the strange interferences our hero and his mentor suffer from during their journey.
* Machine Perfect Controls: Fluid action and movement controls for intense robot battles and tight air jumps. This is one bot-mageddon that’s full of shooting, platforming and of course, mild puzzle-solving challenges.
* Cunning Enemies: Uniquely designed enemies that can come from the sky, ground or even underground in the most robo-tacular fashion, forcing you to choose your weapon (And tactics) wisely.
* Fallen World: Various environments from outdoor valleys to underground military bases have come to life thanks to the power of UDK. The levers are fully optimized and hold many challenges and secrets.
* Crazy Voices: Full voice acting for all characters... excluding our main hero of course. After all, he is (allegedly) supposed to be a silent protagonist.

This is without a doubt the worst game I've played in the last 10 years. The only good thing I can say about this game is the concept sounded interesting. The game play is awful. The story line is childish. It's seriously repetitive. And what's the deal with that Jar Jar Binks sounding professor? Was this someones high school science project? Thank God it was on sale. I'd be pissed if I'd payed full price for this. As it is I'm just sad that games like these exist on Steam. Maybe I'll finish it someday when I'm really, really, really, really, really, really, really bored.
The voice acting is bad, the controls are clunky, and the story line is not compelling. I agree with others that the game is not complete.
I....don't really reccomend this game. Robot is as cool as it will get, and this game is as Indie as it gets. Not to mention the old door opening and closing sounds, which are definetly from the first half-life games as it is. As well as the lab sounds. Combat broken. And who stands still while flying in the air and kicks?
this 3D robot-shooting theme was attracting me, so i bought it, but after i played it, i found the game is terrible. shooting is unreal, character's animations(moving, jumping, that kind of things) are weird, enemy AI is stupid. and can i skip all the voice and cutscene? Some can skip, some can't, i don't want to see or listen them all when i play it again. Also this game has some bugs, in level 1, there are two lasers side-by-side, in original, they are moving opposite, but when i reload the chackpoint, they become moving together, so no matter what i do, i always take some damage. Oh, and don't look at my achievement, bug did it. And when i was progressing the level 2, i can see the "level select" has it, but the next day i wanted to continue, i selected the "Campaign 1" thoughtless, then i returned to menu, the level 2 in "level select" was gone, so i had to play level 1 again, "THAT" is bad, dude. Althrough this is a indie game, but i think you can do better than this. there ...
poor man's dark souls 2, except worse in every way
Not worth the few bucks they're asking for it. I wouldn't play this for free.
This game is actually butt. There are no other words for me to use to describe this monstrosity. It run at a solid 2 frames at all times with the most stellar voice acting I've ever heard in my life. 10 out of 10 people agree that they would rather have a large catus inserted into their butthole than play this game.
The campaign for this game is what i would call boring frequent game crashes and not much more to say. You may argue ive only played for 2 hours but honestly it was not fun having to re-open the game every 10 minutes. Buy at your own risk!! Over all rating: 2/10 <--Thats pretty genourous considering my experience!
Alrighty then. Despite this game being released in 2014, the graphics and overall voice acting are a bit dated. Pros The character slightly resembled the lead character from Dead Space. Creative ideas with platforming and double-jumping. Cons Cheap voice acting. Most of it was pretty lackluster, seemed like text was just ran through a Text-to-Speech generator. Not the best when making a video game, even if the price is low. Bosses are meat shields, literally. The first boss has 8k+ HP on Normal Difficulty. Tiny creatures will later become bosses, lack of variety. Boss battles all share fairly similar abilities, the first two did at least.
