About the Game

Don't ask, just parry!deflect is the core combat mechanic in 'Deviator' allowing you to turn the enemy's fierce attacks into nothingness with precise timing. Practice diligently, my friends; if you're too slow, you'll be defeated. You wouldn't want to take a hit from an enemy, after all.

Every battle is a tense and thrilling game of wits. When attacks and deflect succeed, the character will continuously build up momentum. Once it surpasses the threshold, you can enter a powerful enhanced state. In this state, the character gains multiple benefits, with improved damage and game feel.
While getting beaten up by monsters may look pitiful, the enhanced state truly looks cool.

This fantastical world is constructed with vivid 2D hand-drawn artistry. From enemies to buildings, and the diverse styles of different regions, everything leaves a deep impression. The lush green forests, the shadowy mechanical city, the treacherous and icy canyons... But don't get too lost in the scenery, danger lurks around every corner.

Watch your step! Danger lurks everywhere in this world. The game thoughtfully provides numerous challenging levels for you to showcase your skills. Of course, experiencing failure can be just as exhilarating. Get ready to 'suffer'

All art takes inspiration. This is not inspired, or art - it's shameless plagiarism.

This is one of those games that makes it hard to give it a bad review because of how beautiful it is. The idea of this games makes it a “Hollow Knight” styled baby, but there are too many issues. The last update for this game was awhile back. It still has glitches that are occurring since its conception. - First, the game loses audio if I pit my handheld in sleep mode and boot it back up. - the new area is super short. The boss of this area has a low level of difficulty. - When I move into one of the areas of the new location, it removes my sprite and I can no longer see my toon. This has broke my save and I can no longer see my character. The way the updates are being pushed out for this game and updates only occur one every full-moon (joke), I feel it is a cash grab. Updates are only being done to keep people interested. Don’t be fooled by the flashy moves and abilities. Displayed on the homepage of this game. It looks like Hollow Knight, but it is a quick cash grab. At...

This is 100% BS because although I am many hours into the game, you get to a point where this one boss has a major design flaw with it's laggy and dropped frame animations also input delay where I have nearly been stuck here for 90% of the game so far due to terrible performance of the game! That is literally like entrapment! It was almost like is was designed that way intentionally!

9 hours in and I pretty much enjoy this game. I enjoy exploring; getting money; upgrading my weapon, skills;getting stronger etc. I don't want to dig into much detail like 'Bosses are well designed. Each one really made you suffer a little bit in earlier, but then you get used to their style and beat them'. I enjoyed this game and will continue as the updates keep coming in. For the people that give bad review just because it is similar to Hollow Knight: Yes, it is so similar to HK, mostly visual design wise. But it is not the same. DIfferent map, different type of enemies, unique bosses (other than that plant boss which look wise is similar to HK Hunter), its own parry mechanic and its application feels nice. IDK why can't people just enjoy this content. Like everyone is praying for HK Silksong, as there is HK hunger, but when a game similar appears, they just trash the game. Anyway, I hope developers are not demotivated by these dumb people and continue updating the game. Because I w...

I'm writing a poor review is because of these reasons: Parry system is good but heavily flawed - just because you block the move doesn't mean you get a parry because the boss might be perfectly spaced out. Speaking of bosses - Dex hasn't spawned. I just walked through the room that is meant to have him. Boss rush gamemode - Can't play it. I go back into the room with my save and for some reason my character falls out of the world. I'm not the only one with this problem. no major updates in a year - come on guys. You're making a game like this, you can't just make small updates and hope people will stick with it. Lock tf in and actually make something good. There's clearly some great ideas.

This game is definitely a clone of Hollow Knight. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing. The controls are fairly responsive, and the boss fights are challenging, especially with the importance of timing parries. I did enjoy the game so far - the biomes are diverse, the platform challenges are unique, and there are a good variety of enemies. I hope the devs put forwarad the same effort to complete the game.
