I wish we had a "Yes, but" option for game recommends. Game is super well optimised, can tell the dev (Daniel) is doing an amazing job and it's a labour of love. I think there's a few balance things that need to get hammered out before it's in the place it has the potential to be: -We are a bit too squishy and enemies are a bit too spongy, in a repetitive way. Can turn combat into "running away throwing grenades" simulator -Would be nice if enemies had a bit more weight to their deaths to give that impact, right now you kind of just sail around shooting/grenading things while they quietly die without you noticing (as you're running away throwing grenades to grab health drops) But there's a 10/10 game in here, it just needs a tiny tiny bit more balancing

User Reviews
This game contains an upgrade which gives you more ammo the lower you set your screen resolution. GOTY right here
I came across a mod in one of my runs that increases damage output of my gun based on how high I've set my in game sensitivity. 10/10 game for making me play like a pure autist. P.S. this is a really good game for a solo dev, can't wait for future content updates!
Even though I will complain a lot in this review I want to give this a positive review because of how impressed I am with the amount of detail, scope and complexity in this project. Everything on the surface here is very well made. The movement feels fluid, the progression systems both in- and outside of runs are interesting but for me it all falls apart quite quickly in the particulars of the shooting and how builds work. First off, my biggest gripe is how the recoil is handled. I haven't tested all weapons so I'm mostly talking about the assault rifle here. The recoil system just doesn't work and makes for a bad experience. The recoil drags your viewport upwards just like it does in games like Counter-Strike but when you stop shooting the viewport will be pulled back down the entire distance it went up during shooting. The problem here is, when you compensate for the recoil so that your crosshair stays in place, when you stop shooting, the viewport will be dragged downwards making ...
Game is great. Absolutely get it. The reason I'm leaving a negative review is because when you kill a boss, the play area is shrunk by invisible walls that limit where all you can go. If you kill a boss and their loot drops outside of that boundary, their loot doesn't get transported into the play area, meaning you can, under some circumstances, kill a boss and get absolutely nothing for doing so. Which is... frankly, unacceptable. Once that is fixed I'll be renovating this review, but right now that's a p r e t t y fatal flaw in a rogue-lite.
This is game is pretty awesome. It's an adrenaline rush running around picking up and throwing stuff, and destroying buildings and such. It's also pretty damn hard, it's your bullet hell versus your enemies bullet hell. I've only played one run and it's like playing a really damn solid rogue-like, half-life with that gravity gun, and well-tuned modern fps all at once. Really pretty too. Seems well-optimized too, my 1060 can't quite handle it perfectly, but it's performing way better than i expected it to for such a pretty game with destruction. Definitely will be playing more.
I made a shotgun penta-burst with secondary projectiles and other stuff that I don't even understand and it deleted everything on the screen including my FPS 10/10
This game has become the following: 1. My favorite movement shooter 2. My favorite rougelite 3. My favorite titanfall replacement. The run where I beat the game I was rocking a duplicating wall of missles. Daniel should be very proud of this, It was a blast to play and I can't wait to try other builds. I wish I could rate it higher than just a single thumbs up.
Insanely good already. Single Dev (with experience - previous game was also really very good) A clear understanding of what makes rogue-like games fun. The whole upgrade system is crazy fun with the amount of variety and options it gives you. Graphically this game looks really nice. It's got that Marathon vibe but in a game you actually want to play. Very excited that this is in early access as well. It's already so much fun so the idea that we will see this grow and evolve and have player feedback taken into account to shape things further is just huge value for money right now. There are AAA companies releasing final versions of games in worse state than this. Well done dev. Well done.
Prefacing this with the fact that the game does have a big lack of content - The most beautiful visuals in a game since Cyberpunk - The most addicting game since Hades - The most satisfying, brain tickling sound design since Battlefield 3 - The most fun gameplay loop since DOOM Eternal - The 2nd best music since DOOM Eternal (sorry, Trepang2 wins) Developed by one guy? Insane. Give me more everything.
