TLDR: Outdated design leading to unfun gameplay I feel bad writing a bad review for An American Werewolf in L.A. as it is clearly a lower-budget passion project, but the game is just not worth your money, and here is why: The gameplay is the standout offender here, with an unremappable control scheme that is horrid and unintuitive, not only that with how stiff the controls are the game just feels bad to play. Each time you attack you are locked in place for long uncancelable attacks (god help you if you do the three-hit combo) each with a pitiful range, the enemies, usually just outside this range are then able to hit you with their attacks. On level two bullets that come from off-screen that you are meant to dodge, jump over, or block. However, the bullets are spaced out just far enough that if you dodge them you get hit by the next barrage of bullets, the jump is so low that you need to be a timing god to make it consistently, and blocking only reduces the damage not preventing...

Fun little beat 'em up game. I find it quite challenging, but I suppose that makes it more enjoyable (for real - when are you supposed to have time to regenerate?). Funny story too.

Bro just wanted to surf. A fun little homage to An American Werewolf in London. The last two levels were somewhat challenging which made the experience more fun. After beating it in 30 minutes I don't see much replay value. I think it would be nice if they implemented a score system, otherwise, I don't see myself playing this game for a while. Maybe wait for a sale because $5 is a little much for this game.

Went in expecting a fun old school side scrolling werewolf beat em up. Got a awful old school 'semi' side scrolling werewolf unfinished Demo. Pass on this one. Even at 50% or more you'll be luck to get 5 minutes of actual enjoyment out of it due to the tedious game-play and rough control input.
