About This Game

Expand your colony in a hostile alien environment and ensure you can supply enough shelter, water and power to your colonists.

As your spacecraft is pulled in by the planet more Goo will be drawn to your colony. Hold back the waves and make the most of the time when things are quiet.

Recruit and build a variety of units, some unlockable through research or uniquely available to certain captains.

Expansion is the key to survival. Claim valuable resources, discover wreckage from previous doomed expeditions as well as native aliens to ally or destroy and other secrets to aid you in your fight.

More Features

 • Experience new strategic choices every time you play, with procedurally generated maps across different biomes.

 • Repairing and upgrading your colony ship is the key to survival. Send resources back into space to allow for new modules to be built like manufacturing zones, laboratories and an array of weaponry.

 • Choose from a variety of unique captains that gain experience and level up as the game progresses. Find and unlock new weapons, skills and passive abilities that will assist you in driving back The Goo.

 • Unlock more ships, captains and biomes when you complete objectives whether you win or lose.

 • Multiple factions with units and buildings you can use, ally or destroy depending on your captain and biome.
RTS/Tower-Defense Hybrid with StarCraft Vibes
I've been on a massive RTS kick lately and wanted something that perfectly balanced resource management, city/base building, fast-paced warfare and strategy with a focus on defense. From Glory to Goo is that title.
Addicting Gameplay Loop
: At the heart of it, FGTG is about cautious, defensive base expansion and survival at all-cost. Expansion isn't an explicit objective, but rather, a necessity. You start your journey on a hostile planet with a FOB (main base), a captain unit, a few minions, and an orbital support starship. Your objective? Gather resources to fortify your base, because in 10-15 minutes, a horde of mindless alien creatures will attempt to envelope your colony. The enemy waves come every 10-15 minutes and increase in difficulty and numbers. In between waves, you need to gather resources, secure choke points and slowly expand into hostile enemy territory in search of more resources (and potential ...

This might be the first time I've loved the music more than the game... and I fucking love this game!

I've been on steam for over a decade and own 260 games... this is only the 2nd review I have written. Despite the graphics giving me pause on buying this several times, I finally pulled the trigger and this game is special. The graphics are quirky at first but... I have come to love them as they are actually easy to differentiate as the amount you are managing increases. What ever the game lacks in visual finesse it makes up for in many unique qualities and mechanics. Ultimately, I think the "lofi" visuals allowed the developer to say "YES" to every cool idea that would otherwise be too much work to justify. Wouldn't it be cool if you were also managing and personalizing a capital ship in space to support you and your colony? Hell yeah it would, (and it is in this game!) but if the graphics were high end fleshing that out could take a cost prohibitive year, so most games developers give up on such an idea or earmark it for future "DLC" ..IF the game does well. NOT HERE! This and many...

Probably the best title in it's genre. Still leaves a little something to be desired, it is early access, accepted, but the bone structure is great.

This is one of the best games I've played in awhile. It's basically They Are Billions but with more unit variety and a more complex economy. The Captains, Starships, and different faction options add a lot of replayability. Once you figure out the basics you can crank the difficulty up to max and get ready to hang on by the skin of your teeth!
