This game was fantastic until you had to run for your life. Everything before that was great. Dunno what happens after because that one level is just out of nowhere and stupid.

About This Game
Release Information

Hey everyone!
The game has been in the works for over a year now, and I'm pleased to say that the game is now very close to getting released! While I'm not entirely sure about the exact release date of the game, I'm aiming for spring/summer of this year!
A lot of the levels are almost fully finished and all they need is game mechanics, along with some other small things!
Stay tuned!
About the Game
STORY:
The year is 2008. The UGG Research Institute does an experiment and attempts opening a portal to The Backrooms. However, the experiment goes horribly wrong, corrupting The Frontrooms leaving unstable surfaces, leading to the Backrooms unwillingly should someone fall down.
The player starts recording a vlog. He takes all his necessary equipment and is about to leave his house, when suddendly he falls through the floor and lands in the Backrooms, where there's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of monoyellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in, along with other areas that have yet to be explored.
The player has to make their way back to The Frontrooms, solving various puzzles on their journey.
INFO:

Good Backrooms game! Let's start with the "OK" parts: The graphics are good, but sometimes a bit uneven. The VHS effect is great, but some object (such as the grammophone) are not as realistic as the rest. The intro is cheesy and superfluous, but it's very short so it's easy to disregard it. Now the GREAT parts. What really drew me in are these two things that the dev nailed imo: - The walking speed. Lots of other games have you fly around the levels, when this one has a realistic walking speed (you can also run if you want). Exploring the backrooms at walking speed is an unnerving experience, and this nails it. - The sound! It's definitely the highlight of the game for me, and I can tell a lot of care has gone into it. I played only the first level for now, it took me about 40 minutes. If you like backrooms games that feel immersive and oppressive, without jump scares*, try this one! Works great on Linux with SteamPlay/Proton! * reminder; I only played the first level, so I can't...
Updated review: Had a few issues, contacted dev. Received immediate response. Dev really helpful. Really great game with fun objectives and levels. Interesting environments and spaces to explore. I am enjoying the game so it's a 10/10 from me and worth the price. It's obvious a lot of work went into the game. The issues I had were minor. I wasn't able to crouch but it didn't effect the game-play. I highly recommend this game if you like backrooms style games.
A very fantastic amazing liminal backrooms experience that will have you exploring many realistic areas and having fun. There are a great number of levels that are very big. Overall 10/10 and i figured out how to beat it! I really loved the mall level and the final one
I couldnt figure out how to progress here. There were a lot of dead ends which is surprising for a Backrooms like game. There are some interestin bits such as with the auditorium. It's a bit pricey as well for a Backrooms like title. That may put some off. Still I'll give it a middle thumb as I've barely scratched the surface. Gameplay Impressions: https://youtu.be/cByGfNUdzLY
