Finding Teddy

Finding Teddy is a point and click adventure game where you play as a little girl who has to rescue her beloved teddy bear from a monster. To do so, she has to travel through a mysterious forest world and help its inhabitants. I really struggled with the puzzles here, particularly the music puzzles. I didn't understand what they were going for until I looked it up. [spoiler] The first notes you get didn't look like letters to me until I read about it in a guide [/spoiler] The rest of the puzzles made somewhat more sense to me. I still ended up needing a lot of hints, but the answers are usually logical enough that a more patient player would probably have been able to figure them out alone. Honestly, this game reminded me of old point-and-click adventures (for better or worse). Pick up random stuff, use the random stuff to open paths or get more random stuff, and die randomly to everything the first time you encounter them, Some of these puzzles(?) take leaps of logic and are a little non-intuitive, of course. Aside from that, the main puzzle element is through interpreting tones that are made throughout - eventually you'll figure out what they mean (probably - if you have the patience, anyways). The story was very straightforward (the title of the game). The game's presentation makes up for the lack of story. As you play, you experience the adventurous and heartwarming vibe of the game. Just don't expect any comedy, as that is not any part of the experience. The game is pretty short (1.5 hours for me), so maybe get it on sale, if you like this sort of game.
