About This Game

The Demon Lord has been defeated by heroes for many years. The peaceful days are somewhat boring, and many people want to experience what it's like to be a hero. Thus, a game was created where players can embody heroes through cards to vanquish the Demon Lord.

Heroes

Multiple heroes are available for selection. Each hero has a special skill and a unique card. Players can use strategy to cleverly match heroes with professions.

Professions

There are a total of 6 professions: Warrior, Paladin, Mage, Necromancer, Priest, and Druid. Each profession has over 60 cards and 4 types of distinctive class-specific skills.

Cards and Treasures

There are nearly 400 spell and minion cards, 100 treasures, and a variety of card enchantment stones.

Originally, I gave this game a negative review. But since then, the devs have adressed most of the core issues I had. Now things are different. Many cards that I previously considered useless got buffed to the point where I feel good using them. While unavoidable passive damage is still annoying (poison, spikes, counterattacks, etc.), I think the difficulty level is okay now and these things aren't as deadly as they used to be. Easy now feels like Easy; Normal now feels like Normal. The different heroes and classes are very distinct and offer more than enough variety for lots and lots of playthroughs. Speaking of replayability, the only real gripe I have with the game now are the events. They lack variety. Plus, some events I feel bad about. Like the one where you get a gemstone for monster-enchantment... when all your monsters are already fully enchanted. I think the game should account for that and offer a few more choices. All in all, I think this game is now a decent roguelike...

Before I tell you why this game is excellent, I need to provide some context: I play A LOT of deckbuilders. I buy and play so many deckbuilders, I have on multiple occasions discovered a deckbuilder in my steam queue (which has had over 12,000 games pass through it), only to find out while inspecting the store page that I not only already have played that deckbuilder, but I have already refunded it. I have played so many deckbuilders that they run together, and I have had to create a note-taking system just to tell them apart (I am a game developer, so note taking has other benefits). It is with this context in mind that I want to tell you that Tabletop Hero is awesome. The caveat with my recommendation is that I only have 3 hours played as of writing, so I cannot tell you how long its awesomeness will hold up (but I can already see many, many, many different strategies and unlocks being hinted at, so i suspect it will hold up for quite a while). When I say its awesome, what I mean ...

Whoa, very very nice deck-builder! Just flat out fun, the Minions are fun to use and further Enchant, the Legendary Treasures are actually great and helpful and you can really create unique builds, the enemies are fun to fight and overall it's just quality here. I hope they continue to expand upon this because so far it's quite nice and I've tried a bunch of these games! <3

I'm surprised at how few reviews this has. It's a high-quality deckbuilder with a strong similarity to Monster Train. The game was made by a Chinese developer but, as far as I can recall, there were no translation issues. If you find your first run boring, which you may, if you are even better than I, you should be aware that the game has six difficultes. Each progressive difficulty increase not only requires you to think more (obviously), but difficulties two and four also open up more gameplay mechanics that provide a significant increase to the possible strategies. Unfortunately, each class keeps its own records of difficulty, so winning 1-5 on one class will not allow you to play difficulty six on another. If the developers read this, I think it would be nice if completions of the first three difficulties could transfer between classes, as they are, as far as I can tell, intended to be the tutorial difficulties. Despite the potential hassle, it didn't bother me too much, as each ...

This is a fantastic deck builder game with lots of replay value. The decks you can make are all very fun and unique and makes you excited to try new ideas for each run. My only complaints are I wish they had more animations for the attacks and 2 of the heroes don't seem to work right. All in all, it is 100% worth a try if you enjoy Slay the Spire or other similar games :)

I retract my negative review. The UI is terrible and they badly need to hire a decent translator, but core gameplay here is actually quite decent.

Expected nothing, got a really good roguelite deckbuilder. Translation is good. Metaprogression is good. Content is huge. Grab it, it is a steal.

I like how out of control it can get if you don't pay attention, at one point in one of the runs half the enemy team had like 40 divine shield because it kept stacking. For the price there is a ton of content.

I had half day off Friday, and it all just went into this game. Totally recommend it if you like deck builders. The translation is a bit lackluster but the game play is very fun. If I wasn't a grown up with responsibilities I'd spend way more time playing this game than anything else.

This is an adorable game with a LOT of choices. Blood Queen is my favorite, but each have unique mechanics. Then there are also 5 professions, each of which unlocks more potential with each leveling. I have close to 100 hours already, so well worth every dime I paid.
