Loyal knights blessed with special skills stand true at your side. Use them wisely in the military, the administration of your lands and in diplomacy, and then use their hard-won experience to further develop their talents as you see fit.
Astute development of your estates and castles both satisfies your people and secures you decided strategic advantages. A suitable infrastructure can soon promote a flourishing economy. Exotic resources and relicts are spread over the game world and will reward your complete kingdom with special amenities.
Lead your hand picked troops into battle and conquer enemy realms. Storm massive fortresses or lay siege to them and starve your enemies out or even poison the water. Defend your own realms against invading forces and use your tactical skills wisely.

This game has a special place in my heart, since it came out. Every once in a while I return to play some more. So what is there to like, you ask? The graphics were not very good even when it came out, but it's easy on the eyes. After some time it grows on you. Personally I very much like the touch where the city is not generic for all nations. The sound get a bit repetitive after some time, but it still help you immerse. The narrator is insanely good. Frankly, when a friend of mine had a baby, I blurted "Hoorah! A royal child is born!" The gameplay? It is marvelous! Complex management of diplomacy, city management, field battles. What is more to ask? I will tell you what - difficulty! Even on its hardest setting, a veteran gamer will win in sub 2 hours. The AI doesn't know how to field its best units, how to best manage its cities for optimal results or how to fight a tactician Marshal. It ain't very bad, but the only time I felt threatened is in the beginning of the game with a singl...
