I've been a beta tester for this game and while the dev is pushing updates, the game is still far from being a complete game which is understandable because it's in Early Access at the moment. Riding the dragon feels cool. I felt that the combat is a bit too easy and also the dragon needs more attacks, I want to see it spitting fireballs, walls of fire and stuff like that.

I get that it's early access and that this is a solo dev project, but this is not nearly ready to be offered to play at any price point. If you pay for this game as of this date, 01/07/2024, you will get 20 minutes worth of gameplay. that gameplay will consist of: - Stiff and barely functional combat with about twelve human enemies and one big gorilla sized enemy - A stiff and barely functional ride on a dragon - An inventory/perk menu that breaks and forces you to restart I don't know if these issues where especially problematic for me as I played exclusively using an Xbox controller (except for one point where the perk menu bugged out and I couldn't activate anything in it or close the menu until I tried with the mouse), but the experience I had (extremely short though it was) does not have me wanting to go back and try again with mouse and keyboard. I want this to be better and perhaps with time and gallons of polish this will be something half decent to play. But th...
VERY early access, honestly this strikes me as an ambitious stab by a lone indie dev which I can only commend. However, my first few minuets of gameplay told me all I really needed to know. Keybindings don't always register, collision detection is hit and miss, overall just gives the impression of a game in a very early state of development. My first taste of combat saw me floating through some rocks whilst I desperately struggled to equip my sword, only for the game to decide to let me actually swing it at the enemy when it felt like it and promptly got hacked to death semi-clipping through the scenery. ALSO, motion blur is CRAZY even though it's set to "OFF" as default. Pls fix as I am getting seasick lol. Still in its "wobbly baby deer taking its first steps" stage. Am ok with having picked it up on sale, but would definitely wait a few months and keep track of development, as I wouldn't consider it to really be in a playable state yet.
Pretty decent for what it is. i liked flying around with the dragon and the landscape is pretty. the camera is a bit finicky sometimes in ground combat but the samurai are cool. if the dev adds more loot and a another level or dragon to play around with that would be awesome. There certainly is potential here. Would strongly recommend if it gets expanded on. We need a good dragon riding game.
Sekiro and Scalebound = two games that the developers were inspired by when creating WyrmBound (it's noticeable) Did it succeed? hmm, debatable. everyone will find the answer for themselves in the process. * It's a single-player Souls-like game with RPG elements ** Dragons = our allies, not our enemies (*-*) Epicness? No, I haven't heard of it. Difficulty Bosses. Killing them is difficult. They do critical damage. what about balance? Alright. *** I like the asian style locations, it adds to the atmosphere. It's your way! The way of the SAMURAI!
Honestly, I usually prefer story-rich games, but I had so much fun playing this game and I'm sure I'll spend even more time on it once there are more dragons and levels. Can't wait for the next update!
When I first plunged into the world of the WyrmBound game, I was struck by its beauty and mystery. The fantasy Asian world filled with magic and ancient creatures captured my imagination from the first minutes of the game. As a skilled samurai warrior, I set out to explore this wonderful world, forming an alliance with mighty dragons. Every dragon I had to face turned out to be unique, from its size to its elemental power and fighting style. The decision to choose my dragon companion was an important moment for me, as I wanted to find the perfect partner that reflected my style of play. The combat system in WyrmBound turned out to be difficult, but exciting. It reminded me of the Souls series of games, which added extra excitement and challenges to the game. I honed my skills by discovering new combos and techniques to become stronger and more effective in battles. Regardless of my level of experience, WyrmBound offered me an exciting journey filled with epic battles, friendship with d...
Has huge potential but needs a lot of work, not worth the $4.00 I paid for it.
Stupid opponents don't realize that I'm invincible, because I even rode a dragon : D
Despite early access and some margin for error in the product's rawness, WB already looks appetizing ;) + Battle mechanics + DRAGONS!!! It's not a competitor for Dark Souls, but I enjoyed it 7.5/10
