This game is well done. The best part is they did not lean into the character having a disability. Danny is the main character who happens to have a disability. He's clever and is the hero of the story. They could've fumbled this aspect but didn't. The game and story is entertaining too.

Wildwood Down is a charming and funny adventure game in the style of the LucasArts classics starring Daniel, the hero of the tale who has Down Syndrome. The story is fully voiced by Daniel himself (and fortunately subtitled) and is full of humour and puzzles. Along the way you get the standard inventroy combination puzzles, maze sections, parodies of games like MGS, and more. A must-play for adventure game fans.
Charming, funny, and sweet. The puzzles are really clever, and this art style is beyond gorgeous.
We played the Wildwood Down demo months ago and immediately wishlisted the game. This game has everything you want from a point-and-click adventure. Thoughtful puzzles with a good mix of knowing what to do next and earned aha moments, a colorful cast of characters, witty dialogue and most importantly a reason to care about the plot of the game. This game, at its core, has a huge heart. This game is also truly rare in that it features a differently abled protagonist based on a real life person. Spending time with this character, even when he isn't at his best behavior, you can't help but enjoy the full range of his personality and emotion that the game brings out. (The music, scene design and animation style are also top notch.) Strong recommendation for point and click fans, not suitable for young children due to cartoon violence, themes of murder, smoking and drinking.
Wildwood Down is a mysterious but fun dive into a coastal thriller, blending AWESOME visuals with creative detective work from none other than Daniel. I say creative detective work because Dan sometimes stumbles into the solutions or has "beautiful accidents." Which makes the game so funny and entertaining to play. Wildwood embraces pixel art w/3D animation and witty dialogue that reminds me a little of Monkey Island. From the quality of the narrative, to the depth of each character, Crashable Studios brought this Summer Hit to life. This had a great balance of difficulty, with puzzle varieties that were fair throughout the game. I like how the difficulty seemed to increase as the game progressed. I was amazed on how the art and atmosphere was so true to the actual Wildwood, New Jersey. It's like I was there with Dan! The voice acting brought each character to life alongside the music. I bought the soundtrack because it was that good to jam to. I've played very few point and click g...
Incredible Point-and-Click game, honestly deserves to be talked about and considered as one of the greats. Especially for a small team to pull off. I don't have bad things to say about it honestly, nothing was TOO frustrating or took TOO long for a humorous, zany adventure game. So here are some KEY positives I loved about it: -THE ARTWORK. The 2.5D speaks for itself, I've yet to see an adventure game do what this game has done. 2D characters, 3D objects and buildings but with pixel art surfaces? Idk how they worked this magic but it WORKS. Also cinematic camera movement for the cut scenes, it was pretty impressive. -The rewarding animations and pixel art when you do something right. -The voices and characters were well done and VERY diverse, but it's the boardwalk of NJ, it's a melting pot of various people. So it sorta makes sense. -The option to skip some sequences that people might find difficult or frustrating (I didn't, however). -The moon logic was sprinkled in JUST enough...

This game is absolute comedy gold. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally, but an all around great game
As a New Jersey native, this game literally hits home for me. The way it perfectly encapsulates that specific Jersey boardwalk culture warms my heart. The gameplay is a really fun mix of mini-games and puzzles that are just hard enough to give a sense of accomplishment without ever making you want to throw in the towel. I especially love all the little jokes woven in to every interaction. If something seems silly or fun, you can probably do it in this game. The developers seem super self aware and tuned into their audience. Speaking of little jokes, this game is chock full of them! They're tastefully done in a way that makes you slap your thighs without rolling your eyes. I would say the humor of the game is the main selling point for me, especially since it's such a universally funny style. This game gives the type of comic relief we could all use in today's world. The world of the game is really well developed, too. The lighting, graphics, and sounds on each level add a surprising...
What a great game!! What a thing to make the main protagonist a guy with Down Syndrome - a beautiful honor to that community! Brilliant and heartfelt with a mischievous guy who's always running into trouble. I love Dan. What a fun romp this is! New to point a click gaming, I'm having a blast following the intriguing steps and brain challenging progress through this game. Still working through it. I love the details of the design, humor at every turn and colorful and clever work by the designer. Hilarious dialogue!! i'm hooked.
